❝ BROKEN takes place in a present day fictional city that somewhat resembles New York. The city region has a human population of about eight million people, and about one million dogs. It used to be the cat population that overran the city streets and alleyways, but ever since the humans utilized their new non-lethal method of "trap-neuter-release," the feral cat population is finally stabilized and decreasing ever so slowly. Dogs, on the other hand, pose a new threat. While strays have always been common in the city, feral dogs were a rare sight... Until now.
Feral dogs are being sighted within the city limits. Not only does this pose a threat to the safety of the human residents, but also to the domestic animals who reside in the city as well. As if the strays are not already struggling with starvation and parasites, now they have to worry about the increased risk of catching diseases such as parvovirus, canine distemper, bordatella, leptospirosis, and rabies. Not to mention the ever-alert Animal Control officers who frequently hunt down stray animals in the city. Healthy dogs with friendly dispositions are lucky. If captured, they're likely to be examined by a veterinarian and put up for adoption. However, the more wild ones are more likely to never been seen again. One attempt to defend yourself, and they'll have you on the euthanasia list in no time.
Not all humans are bad, though. Some dogs even swear loyalty to them. Feral dogs usually keep their distance from the abominable two-legged monstrosities, but it's difficult to share space in a territory that is primarily dominated by them. In a world where humans rule, who do you trust? Do you try to find safety among your own kind, or is it possible that life may be easier alongside the humans? To survive, you'll have to trust your instincts... ❞Last edited by

`R U L E S* Tess' and Nick's rules apply. No God-modding, Power-playing or forced-mating.
* No Wolves/Wolf hybrids. I might decide to allow them, later.
* Drama, romance and violence is encouraged, but please keep it in rp and pg-13.
* No starting out with crushes/mates (sorry but have your character meet the dog that they are going to be crushing on at least once), and no two of your characters can be mates/crushes
* Wait at least 2 days before letting your female give birth. Please use a time skip. Not all pups may survive. Remember, there are dangers out there.
* Please try to write at least two sentences per post. I understand writer's block, but try to do your best.
* You may create as many or as few dogs as you like, but please try to keep genders even
* When filling out the forms, please fill them with as much detail as possible.
* Keep in mind that this is a DOG roleplay. Be realistic.
* Being inactive for more than 7 days without saying anything to myself or a Mini-mod will result in a warning.

When angry, this small female is a nightmare. She could care less what happens to the dog she's irritated with. Her words are painful, and if it gets too out of hand, she'll attack... regardless of gender. Sometimes, she'll even lash out on those around her. She doesn't mean any of it in the end, and regrets it harshly. She won't take trash talk from anyone, and that means ANYONE. It could be the highest ranked dog alive, She'd argue with him if he said anything about herself or those she cares about. This trait often gets her into trouble, but she could care less. She's definitely not the type to shy away from what most would call danger, she would likely jump right in. She'll attack anyone, male or female, physically or verbally.
Thorn absolutely adores when a male starts to flirt with her, mainly because she can give it right back. She rarely means any of this, and when confronted with the canine's confession for love, she'll usually just run off. "Who said anything about love?" Though Thorn can be evil, she shows the highest form of love and affection for the canines she's grown close to. Her pups, whenever she may have some of her own, are to be nurtured, but not spoiled. They receive the most hospitality from the female, her mate following after in the rankings. Her close friends are third, and anyone below these statuses is likely to be ignored. She has a high motherly instinct, and can often tell when someone is upset. She'll stop at nothing to make you feel better, even if it means getting herself injured.
Thorn...Well, she's never really grown up. Her hard outer covering is her usual personality, but when alone, she will bound and skip around like a pup. If there's a source of water, she's likely to be splashing around or swimming in it. The reason for this odd behavior is her past; She never really got to be a puppy.
Long story, she prefers to keep it to herself.

Silas will never abandon a friend in need, no matter what the case. Even if staring death in the eye, his undying will to protect the canine he cares about is enough to keep him going. Are you a "friend of his friend?" He will treat you with absolute respect, but may not be as talkative towards you. The labrador has always loved pups, but has never fallen in love with a female to get them. His fatherly instinct is very high, unlike most males around King Feral. He dreams of starting a family of his own one day, but will simply have to make do with what he has.
It isn't easy to anger Silas, for he is very accepting of others. Sure, your harsh words will always stain his mind, but he won't hold a grudge. The only time he is actually aggressive is when you "screw with his family." His mate and pups will mean everything to him, and he's willing to shed a little blood to keep them safe.Fueling his rare aggressiveness, he will do anything to protect his loved ones. Be it his best friend, the beautiful female he calls his mate, or a son/daughter, it would be best to simply steer clear of them. If Silas finds out you did something to them, he'll hunt you down.Yes, yes, he seems like one of those harsh, loner types, but Silas is actually quite pup-like. If he is happy enough, he will turn in to a giant puppy. Though his running and leaping won't be as awkward, he won't hesitate to several yards into the water after a duckling. No, he won't try to kill the animals, he'll simply try to play with them. The "prey," however, don't exactly understand. If bored, or annoyed, Silas will zone out from the rest of the world. He'll be in a dream-like state. He won't hear a single word you're saying or see a thing you're doing. If he fades away on you, good luck snapping him out of it.

Alexandra's qualities are pretty simple to describe. Anyways, Alex's is friendly and all around a kind hearted dog. She loves to converse with the other dog members of the pack and will never pass by a chance to meet someone knew. She has excellent control over her temper in fact she has never lost her temper through out her whole life span. Alex is sweet and actually quite wonderful with handling pups. She finds them interesting and loves to watch them play fight. She imagines them all grown up fighting for the pack. Alex is trustworthy and modest. She's that type of dog friend you can ask anything and spill your heart out to. She would never tell anyone. Alex truthfully is a caring friend and would never say anything to make a female or a male disapprove of her actions. Alex is sometimes shy, In-fact she is very shy, but loves to meet brutes who try to flirt with her. She thinks it's adorable when they act all nice to her..
She would love to help anyone at anytime, But even her worst friends she would help. She is random and would love to make anyone smile. She is sweet and a brilliant hunter. She sometimes might fall over but she would be the first one bursting out laughing, She likes to take walks by rivers on her own and relax a while. She likes to start conversations and make new friends, She is also smart and brave. But sometime she might panic and loose her cool but she would soon calm down. Alex is one of the over-protective type. She is funny, kind, and caring, however she sometimes acts without thinking twice, and she is very protective over her pack members and family. This also includes her life-long best friend, Rain, who is always into something. However She is very sarcastic, stubborn, like. Because of how she lived before she changed her good nature for a very seclusive one around other wolves. When she opens up to you she can really change onto a loving, caring fae, that was only showing a facade. Alex might be shy at first until she builds up and gets to know the person more, But soon she would be very talkative..
In some way Alex is strange.. She likes human very much indeed. Well she lives with one herself. But mostly she would go on outside and talk to strays or make new friends. But she takes some courage to do it so. Well. Most males find her funny and difficult. Well there is an explanation for that, therefore she might talk to herself alot lately. She has a good sense of humor and wouldn't be afraid to show it. But only when she has the feeling of it.. Overwise.. you can forget it.
It's a very heart-breaking story for her. So lets try make it more realistic and it for you to understand better.
It was a cold winter morning. In a dark, abandoned building there was five dogs living there. Alexandra, Mimi and Andrew and lastly Mikayla, where cuddling each-other to block out the freezing cold wind touching upon them. Their mother, Blossom where cuddling them aswell. Their father outside trying searching for food for his young. As the night passed the three little wolf pups woken up by hearing loudly and horrible cries of howls. Mimi closed her eyes and rested her little head back on her mother's warm stomach. Alex and Andrew went to see what was up with those frightening howls. "It might be dangerous.." In a whisper Alex warned him. Andrew shook his head and continued walking in the cold icey white snow. Alex perked her ear and looked above at the sky. She let out a tired sigh and followed Andrew. The little adventorous pups saw a paw-print in the snow then far behind a foot-print. "Alex, look!" He said and wagged his little tail anxiously. Alex sniffed the strange foot-print and gasped "Dog catchers are here!" She cried. The dog cries were getting louder and closer. They both took a peek from the bush. They saw a dog catcher and a dog attacking eachother. "Dad!" Andrew and Alex both gasped. Their father was trying to attack the human. But he had no chance.
Some minutes later Andrew and Alex both jumped in front of the human. With little pup growls and yelps then tried to scare the human away. The human laughed and with his large net he scooped the pups back in the bushes. Their brave dad jumped on the dog catchers back and began growling and biting. Soon the dog catcher took the father down and shoot him with it's little hand-gun. With sorrow in her eyes, Alex let out a loud howl. Andrew joined in and helped her. The dog catcher keeling down and smiling at his dead price. In a flash five dog came and chased the human away. It was the alpha, beta, lead hunter, lead fighter and the delta. The lead fighter Milo picked their dead father up and ran back to the camp. The alpha looked at the little pups and frowned but at the same time felt very sad for them. "It will be alright." The alpha smiled and they all went back to their pack's territory.

After some days later when Andrew, Mimi, Mikayla and Alex grew older, they were adopted, But Mimi and Mikayla had different owners, But Andrew and Alex both had the same owner. "Andrew?" Alex asked softly, Sitting on her owners pink bed. "Ya?" Andrew answered and perked his ear. "Do you remember, you know. Dad?" Alex asked, her voice croaky. "Yeah... why?" He sighed. "Because i don't want to go through it again.. So, will you promise to be here with me?" She asked and jumped out of the bed. She softly nuzzled him and licked his forehead. "Of course." He smiled and wagged his tail.

Rex is a very brave brute. He will stand up for the ones he loves. He is loyal and very filrty. He would do anything to try to steal the heart of his crush. He is thoughtful and funny; He will make you laugh even if he himself is in a bad mood. He will stand up and never give up. He is playful and likes to play with the pups. With a great scent of smell and hearing he would be able to track down a prey of his choice. When some wants to force him to do something he would refuse.
He would help anyone at anytime and he would be a great leader. But he doesn't wish to be an alpha yet. He usally keeps import stuff to himself. But sometime if he wants to he could tell. He has strong feelings and it would be hard to forget someone that he loved. Rex is protective and very smart. Overtime he could sometimes cause a mess and an argument. But that doesn't happen that often. Also lastly Rex is very random. When he is too nervous he talks differently and says random stuff. Being a silent observer has its major advantages. Rex picks up each and every little detail and though this proves useful, it also causes him to over think things constantly. His memory is exceptional, and his attention to detail will burn an entrance or resource into his mind, or keep the image of a dog's face fresh in his thoughts. Rex's extensive memory infuses an unbreakable resourcefulness in his personality, and he’s a highly intelligent brute. His will to survive had been ingrained in the dog since he was just a pup, and has managed to keep him going for this long.
When it comes to something very serious and import he would offer and do that job. He likes to protect Alex and make sure she is all ways fine. She is like a second father for her, always watching out, keeping an eye for her whatever the trouble she gets into. He normally doesn't like Alex's crush, like a father would normally do, But it would get a while until he gets used to it. Oh, want to be her mate. Watch out for Rex.
He tends to be very sweet,but has a cruel side to him when his friends and family are messed with. Nice, fair with the humans, and is harsh when needed
to be. He snaps alot and sometimes talks behind someone back when he has to.
He mostly likes to tease, but may i say he hates being teased himself. He has a sharp mind about him, on day you can see him working hard to get what he wants. One time he day-dreams and frogets about the world around him.
Rex doesn't want to talk about it... How about you ask him? But i warn you, he will NOT tell you straight away.
Im taking a break of CS for good. Sorry for all my roleplay partners, I might get back on.
