Fang could not sleep. No, it was not a moment in which he would sleep. Why? Because the sun still hung over in the sky, giving off light rays, warming all it could touch. But he could just sit there, and rest, like he did so from time to time, watching as life slowly and hazily pass by his eyes. To him, there was never any peace. There was always danger lurking around the corner, the wind and the nights whispering 'Rush, rush' and 'Hurry, hurry' He was always on his guard, relaxing, sleeping, or what not. He wanted to stay in this world, linger upon it, showing all that he was someone. A being, a creature of the Wild. The Wild in which so many had feared for the dangers waiting to strike. Famine, predators, poisonous plants, yes, all of these did belong in the Wild, untouched by gods. But only the brave dare enter the Wild. To Fang, they were all foolish, to seem so relaxed, as his own species was being killed off every moment. The Gods always seemed happy, never brooding like he did. They did not understand the meaning of pain, neglect. No. He knew.
'then, show me your true heart. the next action you take will be proof of your true feelings towards me.'
