Pierre smiled at her as she left the den."Your awake!" He said, sitting near her. He looked at the sky, seeing no dark clouds and only cloudy sky through the tree branches.

Addali looked up at him then up to the sky, chuckling softly, "That seems like such a surprise to you. Did you not expect me to wake on this beautiful day?" She asked, closing her eyes as she soaked up the sun, her jet black nose twitching as she took in the scents around her.

"Well, I did expect you to at least sleep in." He chuckled and smiled at her. He stood up and rolled his shoulders."Now, sha'll we go on a little hunt?" He asked, looking at her.

Her smiled brightened, "Those are the magic words." She said with a chuckle, hopping up quickly as her hyperactivity popped up. Her tail wagged as she looked up at him, being a lot smaller than he was. It was the northerner in her, the wolves much smaller with longer, slender legs for climbing mountains and running in deep snow.

"Mmm, yes. Magic to my stomach." He laughed, and turned and padded swiftly and eagerly into the forest. He glanced over his shoulder at her, grinning."Come on!"

She bucked in the air then bound to his side energetically, "So what are we hunting today? Elk, Caribou....badger?" She smiled at the last word. Badgers were her favorite to kill because it was a challenge, granted the meat wasn't all that amazing, but the fight the creature put up...it made it more fun.

Whatever comes into view first, and whatever you want." He laughed, happy to see her happy and so energetic and eager. He padded along, a little bounce in his step. His ears perked and his nose twitching to all the scents, he kept his senses alert for prey.

Suddenly she stopped dead in her tracks, her nose to the ground, "Looks like elk today." She whispered, "Come get a whiff of this. It smells like a hunter missed and merely injured a nice sized buck." She said, judging the tracks with expert precision.

He stopped and sniffed the ground carefully."Your right!" He looked at her in awe."That's really good!" He smiled and sniffed some more."This way," He murmered, and silently slipped forward to the right.

She smiled and flanked to his right then split to the left, "I'll be the distraction, separate the buck from the herd. You wait until I herd him toward you then go for the kill." She whispered quickly, her keen ears picking up the sound of shuffling deer. She crouched down and moved with speed and grace, the precision of a true hunter and predator.
