Leo sneered and lunged at Pine, but a red fox intercepted him. Red pinned leo on the ground snarling. Pine smiled and stood on a rock "now who would like to hear the REAL story?"

Xavier and Greg both barked and threw themselves at Pine. "You get your paws off our leader!" Xavier howled chewing on Pine's hind leg roughly.

Maya watched on frightened, not knowing what to do. She wanted to help Pine but she knew she couldn't. She should help Leo but she didn't want to. She only stared on wide-eyed.

Leo was released by red. But then about a dozen more rouges filed out of the hidden forest on onto him.
