Whirl dropped the catch, "Yeah, thanks. Big herd of deer down there." She pointed her nose toward the trail, then picked up one fawn.

Lichen picked up the other. "The spring moons should be coming soon. That means the ales will shed their antlers, and their will be more young fawns. Ill tell you, the last time i saw that herd, their were over a hundred. How many are their now?" She asked through closed jaws.

Whirl pondered for a second, "I'd say about two hundred. Including fawns. Almost impossiblly big, like they joined herds or something."

The sun was just rising was the sky was still pretty dark.

"Rymth! I barely have time for Lana! I'm not sure if I'm ready for another pup!" Ina said.

Whirl snapped head up, hearing Ina yell. The striped wolf looked at Lichen, "The thing that's worrying is a blood-thirsty wolf." She said around the hair.

Lichen shook her head. "They must have, there should be at least three or four small herds. They usually do break up when one herd gets too large." They reached the camp and she set hers down. "And they should have moved on to a new meadow by now as well."

She thought about Sophia geting attacked. "Im just glad i havent seen one nick of his pelt. And as long as he doesnt come around here anymore, i do not have a problem." She laid down on the ground. "Another thing is that i have to get used to caring for my own pup now.I wont be constantly hunting anymore....So Whirl...i would like you to be a sub-point hunter....I was point hunter..lead hunter, but not Delta. Now that i am...and i have Sophia...i will need some help with tracking the herds in the area...bringing back food. So...will you do it? When i don have time...you go out and hunt...organize other positions...its a big job...but you are very skilled."

Whirl smiled, "Of course. I'll let you know I see him around. Make sure his pelt gets ripped off!" She partly joked.

Lichen rolled her eyes playfully. "Oh as long as he isn't to close to the camp don't bother. Chase him away if you have to, but dont cause bloodshed. If you think we need to, tell me and i will talk to Ina about organizing a kill squad to bring him down." She yawned, even though she didn't feel a bit tired anymore. "Ina told me that today i can run out on patrol all day today, and she will help Shane watch Sophia. I haven't been on duty for two days." she smiled and laughed. "Which is going to take some getting used too."

"Exactly! They could give each other company. Come on! What else would we do? He looks at least two months, so he should be on meat. Maybe he could go around helping the camp. Maybe he could do chores or something."
