Ƨtammer stood tall and proud as the foals looked at him. He turned his attention to the colt who was now staring at him.
˩ittle Patriot took a deep breath and walked slowly over to the large 'colt' who his mother had called... daddy. He arched his neck and made himself look big and proud as he stood in front of the large stallion.
Ƨtammer smiled. "Now, Patriot. Are you going to keep this herd safe? Are you going to take charge and make sure that everyone follows the rules?" Stammer asked looking down at the colt. His voice was deep and serious but had a hint of humor for those who knew him very well to hear it.
˩ittle Patriot gasped, letting his neck stretch out and his eyes widen to know he owned... a herd. He then arched his neck again and stood tall. "Yessir. It will be my duty. I will keep all trespassers away and make sure the mares and foals of this herd stay safe. Yessir. I will make sure that everyone will follow the rules." Little Patriot said, trying to make his voice as deep as Stammer's but not much.
Ƨtammer smiled and relaxed his position. He nuzzled Kaley back lovingly. But then walked away with a tall stance. But then he turned his head to Patriot. "Then we best be getting on the job, shouldn't we." Stammer said. Then continued to walk away, with Patriot now right behind him, marching with his eyes forward.
Я"Of course I do..." He whispered softly. His eyes warm and gentle looking as he gazed into hers. He felt a stirring in his chest that gave him butterflies in his stomach. This had never happened before. In the back of his mind he could hear himself screaming, No! You don't love her! You're too young! But the thing was... he did love her.
Ɔhance walked on, her ears pulled back so far that she couldn't hear anything. Everything was blocked out so she couldn't hear at all. She walked through the forest and came to a lake. The same lake that Pierce had learned to swim. Chance lightly smiled. A dreamy look in her eyes. Flash backs flew through. Pierce's sheer and high pitched voice was now romantic sounding... so mature. So changed. She sighed and frowned. ˩ʋcκʏ'ƨ Ƨɛcσи∂ Ɔнαиcɛ didn't like change.
