Mirage yelped and lifted her head, a huge portion of the fur burned off half her face neck and chest "wh-wh-what have you done!" she smacked zephyr across the face and ran off crying

Zephyr growled as she slaped him across the face. "I saved ur life. That's what I have done." He barked after her. "At least you have hair left" he mumbled to himself as he saw that most of his fur was gone.

Mirage ran to the lake, looking at her reflection "I-I'm hideous" she whispered "I can't show myself ever again! How will I tell the alpha I am leaving...I...I just won't" she ran off deep into the woods. "I was going to die anyways...I may as well" she searched for a hunters camp

Zephyr sighed and ran after her. "Mirage, I'm sorry, Mirage" he called following her scent."where in all the packs is she going" he said to himself as he entered the deep forest.

Mirage sniffed around, searching for a human scent. But wait, why would a hunter want a furless wolf?

"Mirage" he howled. Her scent was getting stronger. <if nly she knew why I saved her> he thought as he continued to follow her scent. <but I'm sure she doesn't feel the same>

Mirage sniffed around, searching for the camp "I must be clo-" she was cut off when she stepped in a best trap, immediately snapping off her front right paw

Zephyr smelled blood. Just after the sound of a human trap going off. He rushed towards the sound and as he neared the scent of blood and mirage over whelmed him. " Mirage!" He yelped as he saw the blood pouring from her right paw. "We need to get you help now" he said rushing to her side " you apparently know these parts is there a wolf who can help us?" He asked his eyes filling with worry

"go. Just..go.." her voice trailed off as she fainted, collapsing to the ground. She was a wreck; hard to identify as a wolf.

Zephyr shook his head "I'm never leaving you" he said just before she fainted. Hosting her onto his back he followed his scent back to the river on the packs land. He played her next to the river as he searched for something to stop the bleeding. When he returned with a mouth full of cobwebs he started wrapping the around her stub."she deffinetly won't like this" he said as his eyes traveled up to her naked face. " even without the fur your beautiful" he said before licking her cheek.
