Spirit paused, hearing a howl in the direction of the filly's hiding spot. He dropped to the ground and without a word, dashed towards the foal.

Spirit reared, whinnying angrily as he saw the wolf dart at the filly. With a snort of anger, he charged forward, stomping on the wolf.

Amelia let out a whimper as multiple wolves entered her view. They formed a loose circle around her, blocking any means of escaped. The whites of her eyes showed as she took a step back. A wolf growled at her to go back to the center. 'Momma!' she called out with fear.

'Momma!' Jade turned aorund quickly to find the source of the cry. Her heart skipped a beat. 'AMELIA!' she screamed, and streaked off to find her baby. Adrenaline was pumping through her veins. Her legs were a blur beneath her with the speed she was traveling.

Spirit whirled around, his nostrils flaring with rage as he charged the wolves.

Jade ran up behind a surprised wolf and landed on its back with a sickening snap of bones. The wolf callasped limply to the ground. Jade roared and started for the next wolf, gaining some nasty bites and scratches as the wolf fought for its life. Amelia stared at the scene, terrified. Not agian, she groaned mentally.

With a whinny of rage, Spirit stomped on the last one's back, hearing it crack under his hooves. He cringed as more wolves ran out of the woods.

Jade, covered with sweat, stood over the wolf she had just killed. She saw more wolves coming out of the forest, enraged by the slaughter of their pack. A gruesome, twisted smile appeared on the mare's face. Her coat was splattered with gore, but she didn't care. When a growl, she charged toward the wolves, trying to kill them off, ignoring her own serious injuries.

Spirit stared at the mare in shock, slightly fearful of her.

With a yelp of fear as the mare charged them, the wolves wheeled around, fleeing.
