"I'll be right back, I have something important I should have done a long time ago..." she let out a deep breath, then cantered forward, out of Ryan's territory, out of Rymth's, stopping in front of her father. Her eyes filled with tears of joy, and only then did she admit to herself how much she loved and missed him.

Promise was quiet for a moment, then rushed forward, laying her head on his neck. "Daddy, I missed you," she whispered, tears streaming down her face.

Spirit stopped beside Nightshade, a grin on his face. "Pretty mare like you part of a herd, bet?"

Oliva saw Ryan's herd in the distance. She stared at them, thinking about Stride. She felt tears in her eyes. She walked away, slowly. She looked up at the sky.
