Jade rolled around Rymth's words in her head, and softened. She was being rude to stay mad at him for something that he couldn't help. It mad eher feel guilty. Jade nuzzled him back, her bad mood melting away. 'You're not a failure,' she said softly. Ryan made a face. If things were getting mushy, then he was getting out. 'I'll be exploring if you need me,' he said, and took off galloping.

"I ran off...after the foal..."she sighed, lowering her head. "I fell."

[Aravel]

"Are you okay? Be honest!" He looked her over and over. Especially around her shoulder and ankle.

"Honesty? I think I broke my ankle," she said softly, letting her mane fall over her face, still terribly sad about the foal.

Rymth looked at her. "You need to lay down. You won't heal up by walking with it."

Athena nodded slightly, lowering her head as she sank to her knees. She stared up at him intensely, before breaking into tears.

Rymth looked confused. "Now what?" He asked softly. He knelt beside her and nudged her affectionately. "What's the matter?" His voice was low and filled with compassion.

"I= I just can't get the image out of my head," she whimpered. "The foal laying there, a filly, dead..."

[Aravel]

"Don't worry about it. When the time comes, you will have another. One that's healthy."

Athena sniffled quietly, closing her eyes, haunted by the image of the lifeless foal...
