Raven giggled softly to herself as she watched the two quarrle among themselves. Harkuru lay there as if asleep but when she awoke, so did he. He watched her from half opened eyes. He hoped she wasn't to hurt and that she would let him hunt instead. Even if he was badly wounded, her hind leg was in worse condition than his shoulder and he could still stand and fight if need be.

Cherokee got to her paws with a struggle. She winced as she put weight on her hind leg, but she managed to limp over to the stream. The injured hind leg still didn't work right and she couldn't put any weight on it.

Harkuru forced himself to his paws and followed behind her. He wrapped his tail around her stomach to help hher stay on her paws. "Its not a good thing to be walking just yet. Your leg isn't healed." He had said as he stared over the surface of the gentally flowing river. Even he couldn't stand to see someone hurt.

"I think I'm okay now." Cherokee said softly.

Harkuru slowly unwrapped his tail and padded away from her. He didn't want to get attached for he knew he was always going to be hunted down by Denali until he killed the big cat or until the big cat killed him. He stopped and looked at the surface of the water and then lowered his head. The black brute lowered his head and lapped at the refreshing liquid.

Cherokee limped back to the hollow tree and laid down. "We need to get back to camp so Raven can heal your wounds better." She said as she watched the black brute.

Harkuru didn't look at her as he raised his head and licked the water droplets off his muzzle. His ears flatted when he thought about what she said and turned away. "My wounds need no tending to. It is your wounds that need Raven's attention." His tone was low as he had spoken to her from over his shoulder. He began padding away down even further away from all the blood that still lay on the soaked earth even after he had tossed the human's body into the river. The smell of blood was messing with his head so he had to get away from it.

Cherokee limped after him. She didn't want to be left alone, in fear of the hunters.

Harkuru glanced behind him and had to stop for her. She was limping far to much to be walking or even following him. "Are you sure you wish to be following me?" He looked back at her with blank eyes. No expressions on his face or showing at all as his muscles moved under his raggid coat.
