Harkuru stands bleeding from his shoulder but ignores it like he does everything and leaps at the ban again this time lunging for the throat. Once he got a hold, he silenced the human completely and fell to the ground with him still in his jaws. He stood up knowing the man was dead and spat out the blood of the human hunter. It was desgusting to him and he didn't want the taste in his mouth anymore so he padded over to th river to wash his mouth out. Once he had, he glanced around him making sure there wasn't any more humans around and then spoke softly. "You can come out now, if you can, Cherokee. If not, tell me where you are and I will help you." He lifted his head and looked around but couldn't see anything even though he knew for sure that she was there just hiding.

Cherokee whimpered. "I can't move, Harkuru. I can't feel my hind feet." She said softly and with much effort.

With a heavy sigh, he padded over to her by following where the sound of her voice was comming from. He found her little hiding place and slid under her like he had in the begining when he went searching for her the first time. He then padded over to the hllowed tree that he had covered up with a palmett bush to make it a secret location and unknown to human kind. He parted the leaves and padded inside. He then laid her down gentally to examine her wound and get her the right mixture of herbs she needed to heal.

Cherokee winced when she was moved. "I'm scared Harkuru. I don't want to die." She said weakly. She had lost a lot of blood and her back had been twisted at an odd angle when she fell.

[Moon - Furry Luva]

Harkuru never met her gaze as he lowered his head and began licking away the blood. It had a better taste than the human's blood but he still hated it. He wasn't a murderous beast that longed for th taste of another's blood. He sat there silent as he continued to lick her wound to clean it and rid it of the blood tht dried around it.

Cherokee passed out.

He looked at her and with sadness in his eyes, he turned back to the wound. He sank his fangs in and was able to retrieve the bullet without it causing her any pain and so that nothing in her leg would get torn apart if he had not done so to get the bullet out. He then healed her wound after licking it again and laid down beside her in case she woke up so she wouldn't feel alone.

Cherokee woke up a little later and looked around. She tried to get up, but fear held her down. "I can't move my back paws! What's wrong with me?!" She said as she started sobbing.

He lifted his head and held her ear in his mouth. He knew she was scared so he needed to find a way to show her she wasn't alone. "It's just your fear. But you don't have to be scared anymore." He had said after releasing her ear and looking at her. He knew she feared the worst for not only herself but even for him but right now, he knew she was far to focused on the bad things that happened to her than the good things.

Cherokee nodded and leaned back against him.
