The pretty Strawberry roan mare lifted her head and looked around. She saw each horse in their herd, and was content knowing everyone was there. With a shake of her mane and her ears swiveling, she trotted down to the shoreline and into the shallow sea. She pawed around in it a bit, splashing herself. Then the mare shook herself off. What a wonderful way to start the day, playing in the water.

She then trotted back up to the herd and nudged her mate gently. "Good morning, Love," she nickered softly, nibbling her stallion's mane affectionately.

Dark Night pranced forward ready to fight what ever threatened his herd. The growl made him pick his head up higher. the animal crept towords him. A tawny golden cat. He charged it and it growled and pounced at him. He kicked and nipped at the cat. And in just a few seconds it had bolted off. Dark Night stood now, blood doting his coat.
