Wings grazed in his paddock, his daughter Shimmer grazed near by. He lifted his head and looked around at the other horses that were in other paddocks.

Shimmer flicked her ears at the sounds of everything that was going on around her. She lifted her light coloured head and looked at her father, he was always so protective of her even though she was an adult now.

Skylar lent against the gate to the paddock his horses were in, he held a hot cup of coffee in his hand which he sipped at. He had dark marks under his eyes, he hadn't been able to sleep the night before because he'd gotten some bad news form his step father about his mother. He let out a quiet sigh and looked out at Wings and Shimmer.

Star walked up beside Skylar. "Everything okay?" She asked, concerned. She let her arms rest upon the wooden fence. She saw Skylar's horses, Wings and Shimmer, out grazing in the field. The morning had a foggy, dewy feeling to it, but it was humid and warm.

Snowflake whinnied to Umbre and snorted.

Umbre keeps a calm state and whinnies in greeting

Snowflake bobbed her head and then went next to Star. She shook her mane and watched Wings and Shimmer out in the field.

Shia walks back. She had slept in a tree last night. She walks over to Umbre and puts on a bridle (right?) And slowly guides her out and mucks out the stall and gets on her bareback and guides her forward in a gentle trot.

Skylar looked down at the ground, "no, I got a phone call last night from my step father, he told me that my mother has gotten sick again and has been put in hospital. He said that the doctor said that she may not get better" he replied as he looked at the ground.

Shimmer picked up her heels and galloped around the paddock.

Wings watched his daughter then joined in.

"Oh. Skylar, I pray that she gets better!" Star said, hearing the news.

Snowflake watched them and then galloped outside the pasture after them.

Skylar nodded "yeah, I've been praying all night that's why I look so tired" he replied

Shimmer started to run faster and broke away from her father. She knew that she could run fast maybe not as fast as some horses but she always gave it her best shot.

Wings slowed to a trot then to a slow walk. He looked over to where Skylar and Star were and decided to walk over.

"You should get some sleep then. I can watch Wings and Shimmer." Star said to him. If Skylar didn't get proper sleep, he wouldn't have enough energy to take care of two horses.

Snowflake ran along side Shimmer. She speed up with her, enjoying the run. She started going ahead of Shimmer, challenging to have Shimmer push her limits.

Shia whispers a command to Umbre and she stops instantly. Shia hops off and walks Umbre back to the stable and checks her hooves
