Asael shrugged "Only if you watch Irish television" he chuckled "He's not a big name in. The jockey world just yet" he added as he sat deep into Eliors saddle, relaxing completely "And getting the perfect position takes a lot of physical strength and training, it's not just standing in the stirrups you know, but we can improvise" he explained as he watched Drews gelding, Elior shuffling underneath him as he did so.

Drew and Chad

The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

Drew smiled lightly at Chad as the buckskin stretched out his neck curiously to greet Elior. He breathed in his scent heavily while Drew continued, "Oh, I know it's much more. And I don't think shortening western stirrups up to the withers would go over well." Drew paused for a moment, thinking over the image, before laughing quickly. "I just meant getting my weight off his back, balancing better, being able to see how a real gallop looks... Those kinds of things." He grinned and looked at Asael for approval. He knew his idea was crazy-sounding, but it had worked a little so far.

Celine Devereux.
"Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance."
Celine led her horse out of the arena and came over to stand beside Asael and Drew. She stayed quiet while they spoke, shortening Galileo's stirrups so that they didn't hit off his sides. It was only when she heard something about a trail ride that she decided to butt in, but only after listening to the two talking about racing and different riding styles. "A trail ride sounds fun." She mused, smiling as she thought about the trails around Serenity. Her grandpa had taken her on some of them when she was little, but she hadn't been out for quite some time.


Lucas Devereux.
"In riding a horse we borrow freedom."
Lucas made his way into the kitchen and glanced around. No one was there. Forgetting himself for a moment, he sighed with relief and relaxed a lot more. It was then that Eric came racing in, his brother trailing behind. "Mère et père sortit." He explained in french before disappearing again, Jean chasing after him. Lucas nodded to show that he had heard but the two boys were already gone. "My mom and dad are out." He translated for Rebecca, not sure if she needed the translation or not. Again... They're out again...
The young man shook off any doubts or worries and turned towards the fridge, opening it to look inside. "What would you like to drink?" He asked, smiling as he looked at Rebecca.


Ebony Dreams.
"A horse is an angel without wings."
"I wish you could stay too..." Ebony agreed, dipping her head beneath his neck and touching her muzzle to his chest. "My human is inside, so I think you'll be able to stay for a while." She added, a soft smile tugging at the corners of her mouth as she raised her head a little, but kept it beneath Knight's. It was... relaxing around the stud. Something she didn't manage a lot. But, she just wished he could stick around. At least then she'd be able to get to know him better.

Asael smirked "Sounds like a plan" he answered Drew "It's what I would do" he added with a shrug, turning to Celine as she spoke "Shall we head off then?" he questioned as he quickly checked his girth one more time, letting the reins slacken as Elior stretched towards Chad.

Elior nickered towards Chad and snorted down the other geldings nostrils, squealing happily, chomping at his bit and prancing slightly, big black eyes accepting and friendly as he turned to look over at Galileo, giving him a small whinny as the gelding tossed his head playfully, his hooves kicking up some dust as he sprang forwards a few steps, Asael above sitting comfortably and letting the gelding do his thing.

Drew and Chad

"Alright, great! Do you guys wanna get outta your tiny English saddles and try on some western ones?" He suggested. "I have some extras." Drew flicked his thumb back at the tackroom. There were three extra saddles; a deep black one, a dark brown one, and a light tan one. He had been given them by his mother after he decided to leave and train. They belonged to his father.

Knight nickered softly, laying his head slightly on her neck. Good." It was so calming with Ebony and he hoped that her human would never come out. But sadly, he knew that was never be true; and sooner or later he will come out. Looking carefully at the barn, he wondered how that one looked from one that he had use to live in, which is now burned down. Sighing softly, he asked her quietly. "Can you tell me more about you and your owner?"

Rebecca Sanders

Rebecca stepped back as the twins suddenly dashed past them, a warm smile pryed onto her face as she tried to place their words, but looked to Lucas in gratitude. She looked at him with a slight grin, "Water?" she asked with a little chuckle.

Celine Devereux.

Celine nodded and then lead Galileo into the barn. She tied him up outside his stall and went to go switch his English tack for Western. Out of Drew's tack, she picked the light tan one and then got her hrose tacked up again. "How's that feel?" In response, Galileo turned his head and sniffed at the new tack. But he didn't nip at it or anything like that; he seemed rather relaxed. So, taking him back outside, she returned to the arena. "Ready." The girl stated, clipping her helmet's buckle underneath her chin as she looked from one boy to the other.


Lucas Devereux.

"Sure. Here you go." The young man grabbed two bottles of water from the fridge and threw one to Rebecca, hoping she'd catch it. The other one he kept for himself, uncapping it and taking a long drink. Now that he was inside and not doing anything, he began to realise how tired he was. Lucas pulled himself up to sit on the counter, his soft brown gaze fixed on the girl infront of him. "So what would you like to eat? Sandwich, pizza, salad...?" He wasn't sure what she liked so he just stopped talking eventually, shrugging sheepishly.

The mare stayed quiet for a moment, relishing the moment with Knight. But she had to answer, and so she did: "Lucas is a kind human. He looks after me and all the other horses here. And the dogs." She explained, raising her head to glance up towards the house and barn. There were a few riders outside, but there was no sign of her human or the girl he had been with. Ebony then ducked her head beneath his again, her eyes falling closed. "What's it like being wild?"

Asael thought for a moment about Drews offer but decided to decline "Sorry, no, not to sound rude but I'm not sure Elior would take to the change kindly and I don't want to ruin him with confusion of the different weight on his back, he is a sensitive soul as it is" he chuckled, patting the geldings neck as he watched Celine return. Asael adjusted his seat in the saddle and gathered the reins slightly "Shall we get going then?" he questioned, clicking Elior forward, sat with perfect ear, hip, heel line.

The girl looked at Asael as he spoke. She understood what he meant, but she didn't have that problem. In fact, when Galileo had arrived she had spent weeks training him to ride with an English saddle because he had been broken in with a Western style one. However, her grandfather had taught her how to ride Western. Well, the basics anyway. And she had seen Drew ride before, it looked a lot more carefree and free than English did. "So which trail are we gonna take?"
