Knight collasped down underneath some trees hidden out of sight. He nickered a long, low voice before laying his head down. Tired from all the running and a little afraid of being here at dark, he slowly drifted to an involuntary sleep. The last thing he thought was a since word. If.

Alex sighed, thinking about KC and what she might be doing. Rubbing his cat's neck, he decided it was best to head back towards the barn. Shutting the door, he slowly made his way over there; making up his mind in the mean time that Dragon and him were going on a short trail-ride sort of ride. Smiling, he wondered if KC would want to join him.

Alice groomed Jazz till he was spottless before turning him out in a pasture. She was thinking about riding him, but something changed her mind so she was taking the day off. Watching Jazz run around a bit, she looked around to see if anyone was there to talk. With Skip hot on her heels, they headed back into the barn to see who else was here.

Rebecca gave Slick a final pat and shut the doors. "See ya later bud!" she smiled as she slipped out of the stall. Her steps were gingerly happy. She came back over to Ebony's stall, a wide bright smile came across her face, "Hey stable-boy done already?" her smile had a hint of mischief.

Lucas Devereux.
Lucas spent a few more minutes stroking the mare before he put an end to it. He then fetched a lead rope and lead Ebony out to the mare's pasture. "This is what you wanted, isn't it?" He smiled, opening the gate and slipping through with his companion. "There you go." The young man let Ebony free and watched her for a minute. Then he left the pasture and went back into the barn. Now he had to muck out the mare's stall. The highlight of my day! He thought sarcastically, running a hand through his hair as he went to grab a pitchfork, shovel and wheelbarrow.


Celine Devereux.
The girl led Galileo, fully tacked out the barn and across the yard. She passed her brother and muttered a greeting, but she didn't exactly feel like talking to him at that particular moment. Although she had been planning on riding, there was already someone in the arena, so she would have to wait. But she did stick around to watch the boy. The horse and rider seemed to be completely in sync, something Celine liked to think she and Galileo had. "Nice jump." She called out, eager to get into conversation with someone after her long hours of studying.

"Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance."
Celine placed her helmet on her head and buckled the strap beneath her chin. "Thanks." She muttered, a sheepish smile on her face as she dipped her head to Asael. Then, after pulling herself up onto Galileo's back, she spoke again, "You're welcome to stay and watch. But I'm not that good." The girl said, before directing her horse towards the first jump. At the sight of it, Galileo became a little more animated, his ears pricked and eyes alert as he broke into a smooth canter at the request of his rider.


Lucas Devereux.
"In riding a horse we borrow freedom."
The young man looked up at the sound of Rebecca's voice. "Nearly done." He muttered, spreading the last of the clean straw across the floor. It hadn't taken him long to clean the stall in the first place, after all he did this kind of thing every day for more one horse. "There. Fini." He said, brushing himself down as he left the stall and joined Rebecca in the aisle of the barn.


Ebony Dreams.

The mare made her way to the end of the pasture, stopping when the grass fell away to the bank of Serenity River. She looked around and began to pace back and forth by the bank. "Knight?" She called out, whinnying to try and get the stallion's attention.

Asael smiled "Your welcome" he replied, walking Elior up to the paddock fence, removing the saddle and numnah placing it down on the ground "I would love to watch, and I'm sure you will be fine" he added with confidence, leaning gently on the fence, legs crossed whilst Elior stood relaxed and watched intently with his big eyes..

Rebecca Sanders

Rebecca's smile softened as she watched him join her, she slid her hands into her pockets. She stood there for a moment, obviously thinking, "Lucas." she paused looking up to the young man, "I just wanted to say thanks for... lettin me in. Your place and for your..." she tilted her head, a soft smirk appearing on her face, "listening." Not many folks she ran into gave her ways of treatment positive thought.

Knight heard a distance nicker and opened his eyes. Pushing to his feet, he called out to see if that horse was talking to him or some other horse. "Hello?" It sounded close, so it couldn't be far away so he started walking towards where he thought the sound came from.

Celine Devereux.

Celine's smile faded from her face as she began to concentrate, chewing on her bottom lip as she focused on the jump ahead of her. She leaned forward a little too early, and although Galileo listened to her command, his large stride allowed him to clear the jump. Just. His hooves just tapped the top bar but it stayed where it was, rattling in the lock. "Good boy." She praised, rubbing his neck as she raised her head to look at the next obstacle.


Lucas Devereux.
"In riding a horse we borrow freedom."
The young man's smile faltered a little as Rebecca became serious, but he listened to her and it softened as he realised what she was saying. "No problem. C'est bien beau." He smiled, his head inclined to the side as he studied her. "I enjoy listening to you. And I've learned a lot." Lucas added, but then, as he looked out the door, he realised how late it was getting. The sun was just beginning to slide behind the mountain range in the distance. "How about we go inside? Get something to eat?"


Ebony Dreams.

The mare froze and then turned in the direction that the voice had come from. "Knight?" She called out, stepping down into the river. The water barely came to her knees, but she didn't fancy going any further either. She had no idea how deep it got in the middle. "Knight, it's me: Ebony."

Knight started speeding up, trying to get to Ebony. Seeing her, he broke into a slow canter. "Ebony..." He nickered, rubbing his neck up to hers. "I thought you left me." He really thought she would have, but he was glad to see her again.

Ebony took a step forward as she caught sight of the stud, a whicker of greeting slipping from her maw. She pushed further into the river, the water darkening her ebony black pelt. "Why on earth would I do that?" Nuzzling his neck, she buried her muzzle into his mane and breathed in his calming scent. The mare took a step back and looked Knight over, a small smile tugging at her lips. "Where have you been?"
