Nell looked at him surprisingly. "I guess all the boys back home are fools then." She said, half smiling. Nell shifted a bit, uneasy. "I thought you were just some punk skaterboy who if your crush got her arm broken, you notice it at it's worst." She said, laughing softly. "But ever since... I came back from the hospital, you've changed. You want to be by my side all the time. You pick me roses." She explained, going over it all in her head. "What changed you?"

Dereth smiled for a bit but it soon faded as he remembered that she wouldn't be here if it wasn't for his Dad. She'd still have a Mom. As he continued to think about it he couldn't blame Caleb for hating him, for fearing that he might do something. Dereth kept reminding himself that he wasn't his Dad, he had no control in the situation.

"What i don't get is you want to go back to the orphanage and get everyone else out on your birthday? Risk getting caught again?" Riku inquired, "Seems like an odd way to celebrate, well not really I've done weirder things for my birthday but still. If you'd rather wait for another day, I coul go out and get you a cake after my back recovers a bit."

Clear slowly climbed out the window. "Yup." She said, looking at the view. The wind blew around them, making time seem to stop.

Nell looked down now. "Well, I swear you're going to take this the wrong way, but I'm just curious." She stammered. Nell swallowed and didn't look at him. "Do you like me? Like, Like-Like?" She asked. Nell was dead serious when she said she was curious. Any answer would be fine with her, cause he'll still be her friend.

Logan smiled as she followed and took a breath of the clean, non-old-people smelling air. They also had a clear view of the city and the garden where the rest of the kids were. "Like it?" He asked, sitting above the window where they had come out of.

Bella took another sniff of the flower, still smiling. Caleb then walked over to the two of them, took the flower out of her hand, and stuck it in her light brown hair. He gave her a small smile. She smiled as well, and he took a step back. She then clapped, "We should play hide and seek!"

Evan shrugged, looking down at his skateboard, dragging his fingers across it. "I don't know, I just want you to be happy. Because you seemed to have lost so much. So, it's like the world beat you down, kind of like me. Doesn't want you to be happy." He shook his head, "I guess."

Bella smiled, and slipped off of Dereth's back, landing on her feet. Caleb, in a matter of seconds, was right behind her. She poked her brother, "Your it!" She said, and Caleb didn't seem very happy about that. About the whole hide and seek thing in general. Finally, he said, "Okay, Bella."
