He smiled softly at her and his eyes followed her to the other side of the room and once he realized what she was doing, he quickly turned his gazed onto something else, looking away from her. He didn't want to be rude and although it was hard for him not to look while she dressed, he kept his composure; Giovanni could be a gentleman when he really wanted to be. He turned towards her once she came over and sat down next to him. "Good, and I'll try to keep your mind off of it okay?" He stated then scrunched his face up a little when she ruffled her fingers through his hair. "I can if you want me to." He said and brushed his nose against hers then chuckled slightly and placed his arms around her so she wouldn't fall off his lap.

Lizzie felt his nose nuzzle against hers and smiled playfully. "Mmhmm ... Well ... I dunno I don't want to have to see it when it's all bowl-cut length," She teased him with a shrug and scooted herself closer to him and then she gave him a kiss on his nose. "But I do like it long ... and how it is now all shaggy and short." She giggled happily and ran her hands down his biceps with a nod. "Just keep it short like it is for a while, kay?" Lizzie pulled back so she could look him in the eyes and smiled, poking his chest happily. "Giovanni ... do you remember when we first met and all? And then you brought me in here and stuff and I was calling you a superhero?" She sighed happily and gave him a kiss. "Because I do."

Giovanni smiled when she kissed his nose, it made him feel weird but he brushed it off. "However you want it, that's how I'll keep it...c'mon, time for bed." He replied and reached back to pull back the covers and he gathered her in his arms and laid her down under the covers. He flicked off the light and got under with her and pulled her close to him. "And to answer your question, yes I do remember...though it still makes me wonder why you thought I was a superhero." He stated laughing slightly.

Lizzie didn't object to him pulling her under the covers for bedtime. She actually liked it, a lot. She smiled and situated herself closer to him with a nod of her head. "Hmm ... Well at least you remember. And I dunno, you just seemed so super-hero like, that's all." She said and looked away from him at the covers over her head then she sighed, "Giovanni, you know you are a super hero, though. You're my superhero. Because you keep saving me and all," She turned to look at him and found herself only inches away from his face. "You are." She shrugged and sighed, not wanting to explain to him why she then almost had s.x with a guy she just met. She didn't want him to question that though she knew he would.

Giovanni furrowed his eyebrows a little but he understood. She was a lost girl who has been through a lot, if he didn't help her, who would? The thought made him shiver a little imagining her going through this herself he didn't want to think about it but he knew if he wasn't there for her she probably would've killed herself by now. It was something that made him feel uneasy but not once did he want her to go down that road and take the easy way out. No, he wanted her to fight for herself mostly and be strong all on her own, he wanted her to see that she could get through this but like everything, it was going to require a lot of time. And he'd waste all the time in the world on her. He carefully placed his arm around her waist, keeping her in a protective hold. "Well you need saving from yourself...you're not quite ready to do it on your own yet so that's why I'm here; to help you. I know you can get through this Liz, no matter how many reckless decisions you make, you can pull through." He stated, indirectly bringing up what happened at the party. He hoped she wouldn't get mad but he didn't understand why she almost went there with a guy she barely met.

Lizzie shook her head slightly when she felt his arms snaking around her. It wasn't that she didn't want his arms to be around her, she actually longed for his touch more than anything. It was just that she felt like he was sucking her in and she didn't like it-she just didn't know he was sucking her into something good and right. She sighed as she glanced towards him before scooting herself closer. She felt the need to give into him like she always gave into people. "Y-You really think so?" She asked him softly and nodded, allowing herself the pleasure of being near him even though she wasn't sure it was completly good and right. She rested her head on his chest and snuggled up closer to him. "Because I don't know if I do or not ... just, well I dunno. It's hard to think about, really. Giovanni? You'd never hurt me, right?" She whispered and looked up at his green eyes. "Because I don't want to get hurt again ... but if you're just going to hurt me then I can't ..." She shook her head, "He just-" She started to cry a little, but she wasn't whining or complaining about it, she was just sad. She sighed softly and closed her eyes. "Giovanni? Can you prom ... promise me you won't hurt me?"

“Yes, I really think so. I’m still working on my anger problem; I have been for five years. It’s not easy but I believe that one day I will be able to suppress the things that piss me off and not to get so worked up over them.” He said rubbing her back softly. Giovanni believed that anyone could get over their tough situations that they’ve been fighting against, even though it may take some time things get better. Giovanni pulled her closer when she snuggled up against him; her warmth made him relax and made him not think about his father’s words. “I’d never hurt you Liz, I promise.” He stated and leaned down to kiss her softly.

Lizzie gave a smile and she nodded, closing her eyes as she laid her head upon his chest. "Yeah ..." She wispered and felt him kiss her softly. She smiled and kissed him back. "O-Okay then. Can we sleep now?" She teased and pulled the covers to where there would be fresh air flowing throughout the night, but she stayed under the covers.

Giovanni nodded slightly and put his arm around her and placed a kiss gently to her forehead. He closed his eyes and eventually fell asleep after a while. It wasn't that early when Giovanni woke up that following morning and he was already downstairs in the kitchen trying to make breakfast, or what he could since he didn't cook so well. He flipped the pancake over in the pan and noticed the darkened brown side, knowing it wasn't suppose to look like that he groaned a little but dismissed it. She'll eat it anyway right? Earlier, when Giovanni came down to make breakfast his father was already in the kitchen brewing some coffee. He confessed that he saw Lizzie was not in the guest bedroom which Giovanni gladly told him that she had slept with him that night only to have his father's hand around his throat as he struggled to breath. His father whispering obscenities about disobeying him and informed him that there would be consequences later before releasing Giovanni and exiting the kitchen. The actions only stirred Giovanni's anger and he took it out by breaking a few glasses that were in the cabinets only to have his hands bleed after the process. He wrapped them up as his raging anger calmed down and only then did he decide to make Lizzie breakfast. He knew he shouldn't let his father get to him but they just didn't match well, their personalities clashed again and again making it extremely difficult to be around one another without wanting to rip the others throat out. Only a few more months until he graduated did Giovanni have to endure this kind of pain.

Lizzie tossed and turned in her sleep a few times before she finally decided she should get up-or at least wake up as she wasn't going back to sleep anytime soon. She slowly pushed herself up and looked around, noticing Giovanni was out of bed somewhere. Lizzie sighed and turned her head away, almost mad at him. Then she heard noises down below, and she recognized the voices as Giovanni and probably his dad. So she got out of bed and hurried downstairs trying to stay out of sight just in time to see Giovanni state they slept together and his father almost choke him to death. She hid when she heard his dad leave and then started to go back and help Giovanni but he was throwing things at the wall and she didn't want to be a part of that. When he finally calmed down she came out of 'hiding' and into the kitchen, wrapping her hands around him in a hug from behind. "Morning." She stated calmly, though she was a bit upset about what had happened. Lizzie took a step back and smiled, "Hey is everything al-" She stopped when she felt something sharp slice through her skin on her foot. "Giovanni ... I stepped on broken glass," She said and looked up at him, a sad look on her face. She picked her foot up and limped over to the table with a sigh. She started to pick out the small piece but then it started to bleed even more profoundly and she stopped. "W-Why didn't you clean it up? I was gonna act like I didn't see it ... But Giovanni you're mad. Do you normally get mad like this? I ... I've never seen you filled with real rage ..." She whispered the last part and shook her head, knowing at first she probably would be making no sense to him.
