We had recieved our letters, me and my twin brother, on the same day. We had opened them at the same time, looked at each other with dread,and both begun packing within the hour. Now we sat in his car, parked out front of the hotel that was about to change both of our lives. I hoped we would get to see each other, at least a few times, while we were here getting to know our future husband and wife.
I took in a deep breath and looked across to my brother. He took my hand in his and smiled sadly, then nodded, as if signaling that it was time to go. I unbuckled my seat belt and pulled the handle of the door, hearing the familiar click of the locking mechanisim. I felt the breeze strike my face, and realized if things had been different, me and Karson would probably be out surfing or skateboarding today, or even out riding our horses. Suddenly, I couldn't remember if I had fed my horse Zee, and now all I could concentrate on was him possibly starving, or dieing of dehydration, or... Calm Down I told myself, and took a deep breath before walking to the trunk of Karson's car. I pulled out my single suitcase, and a small draw-string backpack, then turned and walked towards the front doors. A nice lady at the head counter told me it would be just a few minutes until I was shown my room, which was fine by me. Hopefully I would get to spend a little time looking around and saying good-bye to Karson.
Finally, after about 6 hugs, the woman called me forward. It seemed my partner's name was Cody, and we were to be in a room on the 11th floor. I smiled and thanked her, then turned to Karson. "Good luck. Hope you like your partner." And with that, I headed towards the elevators. As they closed around me, I knew my life would soon be changing. When they opened again on my floor, I headed straight down the hall to my room, opened the door, and stepped inside.

I had been looking forward to this day my whole life. Now that it was here though, I had to admit I was terrified. What if my partner ended up hating me, or I did something that hurt her feelings. I sighed, knowing how hard this was going to be. The day was wonderful, and life seemed so great... Great for everyone who was still free. As I walked into the front doors, locking my car as the doors closed behind me, I was amazed by how hard Alex squeezed me when she gave me a good-bye hug. I hugged her back, then pushed her away, towards the elevators. She would have to let go if we were going to have any chance of making these work. I smiled and thanked the reception lady when she handed me my room number, and as I headed towards the elevator I looked at my partner's name.

Andrew startled when he heard the door open, and immediatly stood up when he saw it was a girl. Most likely Celeste. Shoving his hands in his pockets, he smiled awkwardly. "Hello. Are you french? Do you speak french? Sorry... I didn't mean to say that. I was just wondering because of your name, it sounds french to me. Anyhow, my name is Andrew." He pulled a hand out of his pocket, and stuck it out towards her. That is a proper way of meeting girls isn't it? Oh man! I should have taken her luggage first. Too late now.

Too much... At once... Celeste thought, slightly overwhelmed by all he was saying. She reached out and shook his hand though. "Celeste. And yes, actually, I do speak French, and Japanese," she said, pulling her hand away after she had shaken his. "But not because I'm French," she said. She had caught most of what he said, considering she did the same while she was hyper.

Marlee Hamilton|17|Paired w/ Ramon

Marlee's heart nearly stopped when she saw the letter. So they had finally paired her with someone? Her breath became ragged, and it was like she was having a paic attack. Once her joyous parents calmed her down, her mother began packing for her, telling her over and over that she'd be living there. Marlee just watched her mother fret about, frozen almost. Once her mother got everything packed, her father put it in her trunk. They practically ushered her to her car, saying goodbye and giving kisses. When she finally snapped out of her reverie, she was able to drive, sorta safish, to the hotel. A bellhop then unloaded her bags, leading her to an Official. Name? The Official asked roughly. Marlee stumbled over her words, her nerves getting to her. Marlee Hamilton She finally said. You're paired with....Ramon Mancini. Here's your room number and key. She gave her the key and walked off. Marlee stared at the key, speechless. She finally walked to an elevater and stepped in, heading up to her new life now.

Another boring day awaited Ramon in his mind. As he headed down stairs to the kitchen, he saw a stack of mail and started surfing through them till he stopped on one. His eyes widened at the sight of it and he threw the rest of the mail down, opening the one in his hand quickly. Reading it, he slammed the paper down on the table with his hand over it and looked to his mother. "Looks like today's the day I take my leave." He said then walked right back upstairs to pack, leaving the letter on the table.

His mother went to read it after washing the dishes and let out a scream. "Oh! My baby has a match! Oh my gosh!!" She was very elated about the whole thing and as soon as Ramon came back down with his luggage in hand, she ran up and kissed him on the cheek. "Ok, now make sure you have everything before you head out dear. When you get there call me! Don't leave you mother a nervous wreck wondering if you got their okay or not." A tear came to her eye and she yelled out once more ... "Oh I can't believe it! After all that time! My baby has found a match!"

Ramon looked to his mother with a sour expression at her word "Baby". He couldn't believe she just said that. "Stop calling me that! I'm much to old for that word and will not stand for you saying so again." With a stomp of his foot on the ground, he started to head out the door, but stopped briefly. Turning back around, he gave her a hug then left with not another work. Opening the door to his car, he put the luggage back in then headed off as soon as he was in a ready.

Arriving to the hotel, he got everything he needed then headed inside to get his room key and partner's name. A bellhop went to assist him with his bags and lead him to the Official. This seemed easy enough, right? "Name?" The Official asked. "Ramon Mancini" Ramon said with a very pompous tone and expression. The Official looked at him and shook his head at his reaction then looked to the paper and searched for his room and partner. "Here's you're room key and number. Oh yes, you're paired with Marlee Hamilton." The Official said with a very forced smile that was noticeable. As soon as the Official told him of his partner, Ramon nearly had a heart attack. He seemed all cool and calm at first but all that shock had built up and finally showed. Taking the key and number, he headed to the elevator, stepping in and pressing the floor number his room was located on. He had arrived shortly to his destination and placed the card into the card slot. Taking a deep breathe he opened the door very bluntly almost slamming it into the wall and stepped inside, to see he was here before his partner. Taking his luggage, he headed inside closing the door behind him and falling back on the bed closest the the window. "Well, lets hope she's not at all to annoying ..." He said not even bothering to unpack yet.
