"You're really acting like you want to go", she turned her head. "So, if you do. Just leave now; save your breath", she told him in a tone she's never used with him before.

"Mariah, I NEVER said I WANTED to go!" Luke screamed at her.

Mariah grabbed her purse & took her wallet from him. She got outta the car & slammed the door.

Luke let his head smash into the stearing wheel. "I am so freaking stupid." he mumbled to himself. Tears began forming in his eyes. He didn't want to lose Mariah. He grabbed his phone and texted her. Mariah, please baby, I didn't mean it. He didn't expect her to respond, but he sent it anyway. He pulled into a parking spot and got out of the car, his face and eyes red. He stuck his phone and wallet into his hoodie pocket and stuck his hand in with them. He began walking up the sidewalk, wondering where Mariah had gone. They were too far for her to feel like walking all the way back home.

Mariah took out her phone; & ignored the text. She had been walking on the side walk & found a park. There was a bench, that was under a tree. It was facing away from the road & any other building. She walked over to the bench & layed on her side, covering her face.

Luke cursed to himself. He tripped over a crack in a sidewalk on a back road. He fell, and landed on his hands. He heard a crack in his left wrist and he cursed out loud. He layed on his back, staring at a cloud shaped like a dog. He closed his eyes and let tears run down his face. He had lost the most important thing in the world to him. After he lay a few more minutes, he got up and tromped back to his car. He thought maybe Mariah woiuld be back home.
