The girl lay in the soft chair, having finished off her coffee and cake she had promptly fallen asleep. She heard voices from outside, and yawned. "Oh the lady is back," she blinked, wiping her eyes to wake herself up more. She ran to the door and opened it, as it had not been locked as she had not left. "I fell asleep," the customer spoke sheepishly, addressing the owner.

Anita grinned and gathered up the grocery bags, thanking the tall young man anyway. "Please help yourself to any of the cakes in the case, Prices are tagged on the shelves, money can be left on the counter. After I get these squared away i can make you a tea or coffee if you'd like". She suddenly notices that the young girl had never left, and chuckles a bit to herself, wondering if her cafe has suddenly turned into a youth hostel. The thought is fleeting as she hustles to the back pantry.

Nathaniel followed the woman into the back room with the bags he was carrying.

"Where do you want me to put these?" he asked.

His mother raised him to be a gentleman and always help anyone who looked like they needed help. Even though the bags were pretty heavy. At least, they seemed heavy to him, who hardly ever did anything athletic. It wasn't in his interests. He liked to read mostly, and a person wouldn't be far off if they decided to call him a geek.

The girl watched as the boy held the bags. She stepped back from the door, and over to the counter. After she rested, she was rather hungry. Again. She laughed to herself, reaching for her wallet again. She dropped a two dollar coin on the bench as she removed a fudge and cherry brownie from the shelf. She put it on her plate from earlier, before moving to the chair and taking a bite. She giggled out loud, the taste rather heavenly. She put the plate down and looked around as the people moved.

"Just bring them back here", Anita called from the stockroom.

The girl quickly entered the cafe looking around at the homey setting. The smell of baking sweets suddenly reminds her that she hadn't eaten since breakfast. Her stomach rumbled and she clutched it inhaling the scents. She looked at the girl who had just woken up tilting her head slightly with a small giggle. She looked towards Anita and the boy again waiting for them to finish up in the back room. She chewed on her bottom lip, a habit of hers shes had since she was little

Starts to file away ingredients, dumping giant bags of flour and sugar into the HUGE food safe barrels in the stockroom. Anita starts to hum a funny song she remembered from a television show as she works, getting specks of white all over her black skirt and blouse, and in her reddish dyed hair..

"If anyone would like something from the case, just leave the money on the counter", She called out, getting a mouthful of powdered sugar dust.

Anita digs around in the stockroom, looking for something important. Finally she finds the dusty "Hiring" sign and sets it aside on a shelf, the passing thought a bit distracting..

Anita finishes putting away the ingredients in the stockroom, brushing off her outfit with a towel. The shop seemed to have cleared out a bit while she was busy, having become soo quiet. With a sigh she stands in the stockroom doorway, behind the counter and peers out into the sunlit cafe.
