One by one, inmates began waking up, looking around groggily. Couldn't say that I blamed them; this place was a dump.

Ashton's trainer started pokeing him "Hey, hey, hey, hey, wake up." Ashton glared at him annoyed "Im trying to sleep"

:Juliet:

Softly, I started to hum a song that I'd learned when I was little.

Ashton yawned "Ten more minutes" his trainer sighed "Fine, ten but then thats it" he said walking off.

:Juliet:

To my delight, some of the others heard my humming and new the song! They joined in and soon we were singing all together, sounding amazing. As it turns out, the people in the dungeon had beautiful voices.

Ashton could hear his father ranting about something and yawned before falling asleep.

There came a time in the song for a solo and everyone stopped singing except me. Heads turned towards me as I sang, looks of subtle shock on their faces. Who knew a young peasant could have such a sweet voice?

Ashton was out like a light by now and the King had complained about all the singing and had ordered for someone to shut them up.

Suddenly a guard stormed in, a different one from yesterday. The room fell silent.

This one was a female as well, with straight brown hair that came to her shoulder blades.

The king settled down now but had gone up stairs to wake Ashton up.
