He still looked pale and I wondered if he'd thrown up. However, Austin was obviously trying to change the subject, so I said with a smile, "Yeah, it was great. You know, minus Blondie glaring at me every chance she got." I rolled my eyes. "Other than that, it was really good."

"Well that's great. I love it here. Anyways, sorry about Blon-" He cut himself off, realizing he had caught onto Holly's 'nickname' for Ashley. He grimaced. "I'm sorry about Ashley invading our privacy. If you'd like, we could try again? Go somewhere else on a night she isn't stalking us?" He chuckled halfheartedly.

[lilt]

:Holly:

I chuckled softly at his comment, noticing that he'd almost called get Blondie. That pleased me greatly. Then I replied, "Yeah, I'd like that." my smile was still plastered to my face, probably not coming off for a while.

"Okay, well, are you ready to leave, or would you like to sit for a while longer?" He asked, the color filling back into his face, slowly.

:Holly:

I looked around. The place was almost closed, with only 1 other guy (minus a few workers) in the restaurant with us. "We should probably go," I said with a smile. Then I stood up and threw the remainders of my food away in the trash-can.

Austin got up as well, dropping his trash in the trash can as well. He gently took her hand as they left the little burger joint, leading her to the car. It was about the only car left in the parking lot. Almost.

:Holly:

I smiled gently as he took my hand, then walked outside with him. We got into the car and drove to school, stomachs and minds too full to say anything much. Or at least mine was. Soon we were there again.

Austin reached the school and slowly drove into a parking spot, turning the engine off. "Thanks for coming on that date with me." He said, turning to her in his seat and smiling.

"Absolutely," I said sincerely, smiling. My hand was only inches from his and I took it gently, then looked up at him.

Austin smiled, hesitating on what he wanted to do. He didn't know if this would ruin things or not, but he tried it anyway. He held her hand, leaning over and kissing her.
