:Holly:

I grimaced slightly, but still scooted over. And Austy? Oh gosh. When Austin mouthed 'sorry', I just shrugged lightly and mouthed back, 'It's okay'.

Ashley shot her a brief glare that Austin didn't notice, because he was taking another bite of his burger, and sat down immediately by her. She interlaced her fingers and rested her head on her hands, her elbows propped up on the table. "So... I didn't expect to see you here." She directed the comment more at Austin. He shrugged, "Well, as Holly said, we were kind of on a date, but-" He got cut off, and grimaced.

"It's so nice here, isn't it?" She interrupted him, looking around in "awe." Austin nodded silently, knowing he couldn't win this battle. "So, remember what I talked about earlier? Hanging out together? You wanna hang out later tonight? We can go to the park or something. Or you could come visit the girls' dorm rooms. We could watch a movie?" She suggested, shrugging and raising her eyebrows.

Austin grimaced; asking him out on a DATE? With another girl? That was NOT... A good sign. And especially on the same day...? "I-I think I'll be busy with some first-day homework... But maybe another time..." He told her.

[lilt]

:Holly:

I listened in silence. She was asking him out...with me there...while Austin and I were on a DATE?! This was a new low. I took another bite if my burger, which somehow didn't taste quite as good anymore.

[surreal adventure]

"Oh come on! We can watch some shooter or action film. I know you guys love those. You can hold me when I'm scared." She smiled sweetly at him, coming on a little too strong.

Austin took the last bite of his burger, chewing and swallowing, trying to buy him some time. When he was unfortunately finished, he sighed. "Listen... I can't. Honestly. If I don't get this homework turned in, I'll fail. On my second day. I can't do that...." He muttered, trying to make it sound as convincing as possible. "Let's do a rain check on this get-together, okay, Ashley? I'm really sorry."

As upset as Ashley was, she still smiled sweetly and nodded. "Sure thing. Nice chatting with you." She grinned and got up, beginning to walk over to her table. She stopped midway, right by him, and rested her hand delicately and flirtatiously on his shoulder. "Oh, and by the way..." She began, looking back at him. "Nice shirt." She gave him a wink and strutted off.

:Holly:

I chewed the inside of my cheek a little too hard, then murmured, "Oh. My. Gosh. Flirty much?" I took the last bite of my burger and chewed slowly. Honestly, I was wondering why he'd said the homework excuse instead of just plain 'No', but I wasn't gonna get into that. That was his choice, not mine.

Austin nodded. "I think I'm gonna..." He got up from the table and headed to the men's room, feeling sick to his stomach.

:Holly:

I watched him go, biting my lip. Was he okay? Maybe it was the burger, maybe not. Either way, he looked sick.

Austin came back a few minutes later, his face slightly pale, but he was smiling, trying to give a positive attitude. "Right, sorry about that." He apologized as he sat down. He took a sip of his vanilla shake, glancing back, glad to see Ashley and her blonde troops had fled the area.

:Holly:

"It's fine! But...are you okay?" I asked worriedly, taking in his suddenly pale features. My food was gone now on my tray, the remains in a crumpled heap.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm great." He reassured her, still smiling. "I just had to use the restroom." He said, taking another sip of his smoothie. After a few minutes, he finished it, feeling sick again. After getting sick once, food didn't take too easily to his stomach. He had only gotten sick because of Ashley, though; otherwise, his burger would still be in its rightful place. He cleared his throat quietly. "So was this your first time here? Was it good?" He asked her, trying to distract himself from thinking of going back to the bathroom.
