Nadia[/color]
Nadia swept her striaght dark brown hair out of her face and smiled as Skates jumped onto her bed with her, Stanley blinking lazily at him and flicking his tail. She let out a small peal of laughter as Maggie grunted, failing at heaving herself onto the bed, scrabbling at the matress but falling back with a thud and whimper. She stared up at Nadia with big, sad brown eyes and Nadia bent over the bed, struggling to lift her already large 1 month old puppy. "Oh, C'mon, Maggie!" She panted as she finally got the wiggling pup onto the bed and it launched itself at her. She sighed as Skates growled and jumped off the bed, making Maggie cower down into the sheets.
Derek
Derek walked down the street with his hands in the pockets of his worn black hoodie, his icy blue eyes fixed on his shoes as he progressed down the sidewalk. He had his guitar case slung across his back, and he wore blue jeans that were slightly too big. It might look strange to any other person, but to the left of him, in the grass, was a twenty-one year old tortoiseshell and white she-cat named patches. Her shoulders were weighed down with age and her face was flecked with white where it wasn't colored. Her yellow eyes were still sharp and keen as she looked around her, having no interest in anything but her master, who was just walking the day away. They had a crummy little trailer, stained with dirt from years of Derek's old truck spluttering and getting stuck in the drive way.
