Dusty looked at his sister, waiting for her so they could wander off and find some shelter before it became night. Serenity looked to him and then back to the horse. She whinnied, "We have never been captured, we just watched our family get captured before we ran off to this valley. We are just nervous, and we just don't trust anyone after that incident so it has kind of interrupted our lives."

Skully nodded his understanding. "It can be scary, but they most likely have a good home with a nice human. I've heard of means ons, but I've never met one. Where will you shelter tonight?"

Serenity looked down and neighed softly, "That is why Dusty wants me to hurry. We are still trying to find where we are to shelter for the night. Our last home was destroyed in one of the recent avalanches." She then looked back up as she started to think for a moment . . .

Tilly smiled and nodded. "Let's make it two, then," she said as she nuzzled the appy's neck.

Michelle stepped out on the porch and saw Luke looking at white-ish mare. A little blue-roan colt was sniffing her pear tree. She smiled, not wanting to disturb them. Then she frowned as she thought about why the pair might be here.

Skully wiggled his ears, thinking. He looked at Luke and smiled at his awe-struck face. "Why can't you shelte under the trees? Theres plenty to block the wind and plenty to eat too. I'm sure Luke and Michelle, she's the girl on the porch, would give you food too."

Tobi moved into a leaisurely canter, scenting a mare up ahead. He skidded to a stop when he saw a human holding a long rope attached to the black mare. He lifted his head and wondered what would happen, not wanting to get to close in case there was another rope.

Serenity thought for a moment and then she said, "I suppose we could shelter there. It would be easier than walking around all day with little food and water." She looked around, silently thinking to herself as she looked at all of the buildings, and some of the strange people.
