He muttered something, hanging up the phone. He turned to Mel. "What?" He said, not listening.

[flutterby.]

"I said, 'We met at a cafe, with Jane. I'm Mel.' Ditched by Maia?"

Dallas:

"You have no idea. It's all f*cking Victoria's fault." He scowled.

[flutterby.]

"Eh. I'm thinking Maia is really p!ssed at you, and going to make you jealous. Beware."

Dallas:
He frowned, looking down at his jacket and fiddling with the zipper. "I just don't want to lose her, y'know?" He murmured.

"Well, I don't know, I've never been that close to anyone. Yeah, says the teen mother. Ironic, much. Anyhoo, I think Maia really likes you. Like, really likes you. But all of her trust and faith went when she saw you 'kiss' Lea." She used air quotes.

Dallas's face brightened instantly. "Can you find her?!" He said hopefully, looking up at her face.

"I might do. At her uncle's, right? He's my next-door neighbour."

His eyes widened. "Take me there now!" He said urgently, jumping down from the bleachers.
