Jane was jotting things down on her board-- positive and negative.

"Is she doing well?" Mel hissed.

"Not bad," she said. But that meant a lot: you had to be good to make the team.

"Does that mean a 'yes'?!" Mel was amazed.

"We'll see," she said. "It could go either way." She did not want to get Mel's hopes up.

She silently wished Kayt made it.

With one last kick, Kayt finished the routines.

"Alright..." Jade said. She motioned with one finger to Kayt. "Come." She motioned to Mel. "Go."

Mel danced out of the gym, with a smiled etched on her face.

"Yes?" Kayt asked, nerves showing on her face.
