Allen nodded raising his eyebrows. "Very nice. And will you treat my baby girl right?"

"Dad!" Aya protested. "I'm not a baby!"

Parker looks at her father and nods. "Yes sir. I swear on my life."

Aya's father nods. "Well you have my blessing now it's just up to her mother." He looks at Aya's mom. "Karen?"

Aya's mom looks at the two. "Parker. How old are you?"

Aya squeezes Parker's hand tightly. "Parker?" She whispered in his ear. "Please remember that no matter what I love you with all my heart."

Aya's mom heard what her daughter said and raised an eyebrow.

Parker sighs quietly. He was thinking about lying about his age but that would cause problems later. "Seventeen." He hoped they wouldnt ask if he just turned seventeen or if he was turing eightteen soon.

Aya's mom looked at her husband then back at Parker. "Did you just turn seventeen?"

Parker sighs shaking his head no. He dint want to tell them he was turning eightteen in about a month.

Aya's mom leaned forward. "Parker when d-"

Aya stood cutting off her mom. "Mom I don't care how old Parker is and you shouldn't either! I'm happy with Parker Mom. I love him and he loves me."

"Aya I-" Her mom tries to speak.

"Mom stop. Just listen to me for once." Aya says her voice shaking as if she were about to start crying. "Parker turns 18 in a month but I don't care. I love him now and I will then. Parker wouldn't do anything to hurt me. He just wants to protect me. You can't take him away from me. Well....you can but just please don't. Parker is the best thing to happen to me."

Aya's mom looked up at her shocked.

Parker sighs looking down at the ground. He rather her parents chose if they should be together or not, not Aya. He knew this was going to turn badly.

Aya's mom looks over at her husband. "Allen can I have a word with you? In the kitchen?" She got up and walked into the kitchen still in shock.

Aya's dad got up and walked into the kitchen.

Aya plopped down on the couch next to Parker. "Sorry Parker. I don't know what came over me."
