Plot
As you reach the gates of your new school, you are approached by a young girl of around your own age. She wears a white shirt, black trousers and a black and red tie, all fashioned together quite unlike how you were told to dress. With a smile she begins talking.
"You the new 'in, eh?" Without waiting for an answer, she continues. "You've just found yousel' in one 'o the roughest schools in the country. Well done. Anyway, I'm Mer, one 'o the Carlisle kids. I'm supposed to tell you how things work around here. You know, the rules and stuff like that. But that's useless. You gotta know the cliques. There're only really two; the Populars, who aren'y the nicest around but you have good street cred, and everybody else who're nice but ain't the best treated round here. As soon as you walk in those doors you're sorted into your clique. It's sink or swim, win or loose, so make your choice and make it quickly. Oh yeah, welcome to Driscoll."

-No Mary-sues or really weird people with random nicknames ((Bloody-Mary for example. Know where that's from? Excellent.))
-Have complete forms. No 'Meet me's or 'Doesn't like to talk about it's.
-No Chatspeak in or out of OOC. Things like 'Lol' and 'brb' are fine, though.
-The school is supposed to be rough. Only really the chav-iest of chavs make it through without being picked on. Them or the freakiest of freaks.
-Your character needs to be 12, 13 or 14. The 12s will be the youngers who went to school at 4, the 13s will be the average students and the 14s will have probably been held back since everybody is in S2.
-No anime.
-School rules were made to be broken.

Without her friends, Mer is a complete loner. She will usually make small sarcastic comments when confronted, always hoping to start a fight. Mer refuses to wear her glasses in class, knowing how much the other kids with glasses get tormented, so she will either squint from the back of the class or have a nearby friend tell her what whatever they are needing to write down says.
Mer sees herself as an middle class child having to go to a scumbag lower class school. She had heard of the terrible rumors about Driscoll and soon figured out how true they all were. Nobody ever does any work and, after a while, she has learned to live with it.
