{Well, Kody and Erin quit bickering and Kody eventually left. He wandered off and found Scarlett. They started to chat and then Erin showed up to return something Kody dropped. Dats it ;] }

Mikey smiled one last time to Kayla. "Remember what I said. If you don't, then..." He said, shaking his finger at the innocent-looking three year-old. After he spoke to Dr. Martin for a few seconds he turned to look back to Hayden.

"Ready to go?" He asked her, putting his hands back into his pocket. He looked over his shoulder for a few seconds at the other children who were settling down for the night. Then he looked back to Hayden, giving her a small smile before leading her down the hallway. He went down a different staircase, one that lead to the back of the building and the alleyway.

Kayla just smiled to Mikey, showing that she was a totally innocent little girl. Which was true most of the time. She grabbed Spencer's hand, and led him across the room to where her little mat was. It was in the corner, next to the window. It was like the other children's: a children's size yoga mat with a small pillow and a blanket.

She sat down, patting the spot next to her. "Sit down, Spencer!" She said in a whisper, knowing that she had to be quiet when the other children were settling down.

Alexandria told Derek that she had to go, mostly because she didn't want to lose her spot in the alleyway. It was something that happened often, actually. She shook her head as she stood, turning into an alley. She hoped that she could make it tonight, because if she didn't she would have to go through another sleepless night. Which also happened often.

She stopped at the end of the alley, looking left and right. Where was that alley she found again? It was in the business district, and it was near some attorney's office. I mean, I think it is... She thought, looking to the ground and pouting. She sometimes hated her memory, because she could remember things from when she was five yet forget things that happened in the last week.

The tired and wandering teen decided to go down the left alley, since she honestly had no idea where to go. After twenty minutes of mindless walking, Alexandria was in the business district.

- Hayden nodded her head and followed quickly after Mikey. She was much more comfortable now that she had gotten to know him a little better, and now that she was welcome into the abandoned hotel. It made her feel safe like she had a place where she could hide from more than just those searching for her and her brother. It was like their own little community for those who had run from home.

Hayden walked alongside Mikey, her steps quick as she navigated her way down the stairs. " So, where exactly will we find food? I'm new to this city. Me and Spencer just recently arrived here from about three towns away, so I have no idea which place is good to steal food from." She admitted with a small shoulder shug. Champ raced down the stairs behind Hayden, slipping every now and then.

Spencer giggled and plopped down onto the cot next to Kayla. His arms were still wrapped around Ella the Elephant and soon Oddball curled up next to him. The kitten drifted off to sleep in a matter of moments, though Spencer was fine with it. Kayla was fun.

" Why we be quiet?" he asked her in a hushed voice just as she had done.

Mikey breathed in the cool night air as he shut the creaky, old door behind Hayden. He thought for a moment, listing all the places that he got food in his head. "Most nights I get lucky. You know, the kids who leave their food out on tables. Other times I actually get enough money to buy it." He told her with a small shrug.

Then he began to walk down the alley, hands in his pockets. He thought for a few minutes. First he would stop off at the cafes that he knew. He mostly got leftovers, which disgusted him at first. But, hey, you gotta do what you gotta do.

Kayla giggled a put her finger to her lips, which is a move that has been put in her direction before. "Ally, Hannah, Justin, Henry, and Drew are sweeping now." She explained in a hushed voice, sitting Raggedy Ann in her lap and moving her arms around.

The little toddler went to bed at different times in the night, and tonight she wasn't tired at all. At least, not yet that is.

- Hayden nodded her head, watching her step as she walked out into the alley. "Wow. Mostly I just sneak into resturant kitchens and grab the nearest food. Though, that results in food getting thrown at me." Hayden smiled at the recent memories. "Its funny though, i'm stealing food and they throw more at me. I just grab what I get hit with and keep running."

Hayden laughed at herself in her head. Gosh, if only her friend could see her now. She had come fro what most people call the rich people town. Everyone there had money.

Spencer frowned. "You go sweep too?" he asked worridly. He didnt want to have his friend go to bed and leave him, alone and awake. Especially with this new place that they had just recently come to. 'You no sweep pwease." He begged, his hazel brown eyes clouded over.

His choppy brunette hair was raggity, almost like Kayla's doll. Hayden had been so worried about finding food that washing didnt matter as much.

Derek laied down in his makeshift bed. He went to sleep quickly, logan by his side.

Erin looked at him," I just wanted to return that jeeze, its obvious it means alot to you. I dont understand why you hate me, honestly. I will just be going now I guess, to " get a life". She sighed and turned around she closed her eyes as a tear ran down her cheek. She breathed out and started to walk away.

Mikey cracked a smile. "'Really? I never tried that." He said, wondering why he hadn't thought of that early. It was probably because the doors had been locked. Despite living on the streets for two years, he had never mastered the art of lock-picking.

"If we do do that tonight, then I hope you're a good lock-picker." He said, looking over to Hayden and raising an eyebrow. "Don't girls usually have bobby pins to fix there hair?" He said in a joking tone, pretending to curl his finger around a strand of hair.

Kayla smiled and shook her head to Spencer, her small dimples showing. "No, no, no. I no go to sweep." She said, turning Raggedy Ann away from her before pulling her into a tight hug. "I only go to sweep when I is tired." She said with a nod, a proud look on her face since she was no where near tired.

She looked up, watching Dr. Martin make his rounds on the five other toddlers. He checked on them, making sure they were alright and such. "Kayla, try and get some sleep tonight, okay?" He said in a hushed tone when he reached the two toddlers, hands on his hips. Kayla giggled a bit, nodding her head. "Okaaaaaah!" She said, closing her hands and putting her hands under her chin like she was sleeping. After Dr. Martin chuckled and walked out of the room, Kayla popped her eyes open.
