- Kody let the sound of his basketball shoes tapping the concrete walk of the park drift into the back of his head. Instead, he listened to the faint fall of water from the fountain, and the far away sqwacks of the crows, demanding food. Kody shuddered as he looked into the trees nearby. The crows were glaring coldly at him, their beady black eyes seeming to look right into his mind. Back for more?

A while after Kody had run away, when he was still in that thrillful stage, he had stupidly bought about ten bags of groceries. Well, the crows had waited patiently until Kody had forgotten to take a bag into his hideout. They dove into that, tearing apart the bag and eating every bit of food.

Well, Kody was highly ticked off. So, he bagged up some of Beevis and Buthead's fesis and set it out in the street. As Kody and the two english mastiffs watched from the shadows, the crows dove into the bag and ate the dog's sh**. It was quite hilarious to watch the birds fly off frantically and dive into the nearest water puddle. So, now the crows seemed to watch him everywhere he went, da**ing him to Hell basically.

Kody ignored them and continued to walk until he passed a girl on the bench. Out of curiosity, Kody slowed himself down to get a better look. SHe looked like she was on the verge of tears. " Excuse my asking but, are you alright?" he asked, Beevis scrambling over to rest his massive head on her thigh.

Scarlett slid her phone back into her pocket, deleting the messages quickly. She knew it would be best to get rid of it, but it seemed like a part of her past. And, there was always the possibility she would need it. She would get rid of it eventually, she knew she would need to. She sat there, now in semi-darkness without the light of her phone to keep her company. Just a lonely street light to provide a dim, hopeless light for her.Was the rest of her life going to be like this? She hoped not, she would surely loose her mind.

She must have been pretty out of it, or choosing to ignore her surroundings because she hadn't noticed the boy who was now talking to her. She looked over at him, a little shocked someone else was out. It took her a few seconds her for to understand his question and finally register an answer. She of course had to think about it, for she wasn't to sure herself. Finally, she wiped her tears on the back of her sweatshirt sleeve and just nodded. It wasn't very believable, so she just answer,"Yeah, I'm fine." She knew she had failed, well at a lot of things. She had created attention, she had started communication with another stranger, and she felt more alone then ever even with him right in front of her.

She didn't recognize the boy, she must have gotten far on the train. She decided this might be the best time to finally get an idea where she was. She took a deep breath, regaining some kind of even breathing pattern and asked,"Um, do you know where we are?" This probably made her seem stupid, or lost. Well, she might just be both.. She didn't care, she wasn't worried about how she had came across in front of the boy. She had never seen him before, and she had no idea if she would see him again in the future. So many possibilities for what could happen. Walk away as if nothing ever happened, never think about it again, or possibly make a new friend. She didn't know about the third choice, a new relationship between a stranger from another city wasn't really her top priority.

Erin looked at it she noticed an engraving on it " Butthead ? " she questioned. She walked up the stairs slowly she looked around for the boy, she secretly did not want to find him. She skimmed the landscape, suddenly she saw him and an other girl. She sighed " Why is he nice to her and not me ?" She walked up behind him and tapped him on the shoulder and waited impatiently.

- Kody nodded his head, crossing his arms against his chest. " It doesnt look like it." he muttered, however low enough so she wouldnt hear him speak. He ran a hand through his choppy dirty blonde hair as she asked her question, which sort of made him smile.

" North of the city. Chicago's park." he stated, eyes soft as he looked at her. She looked troubled, then again who wouldnt be in this gloomy weather? It always brought out the worst of events. " You're a runaway also, am I right?" he questioned, raising his eyebrow. Beevis slid himself away from the girl, and stoiod at Kody's side.

As Kody felt a tap, he turned to see the girl from the subway. " What do you want?" he snapped, eyes cold.

Scarlett smiled a little and, nodded a thanks, feeling herself relax a little. He seemed nice, and he certainly did help her. She looked back at the road, wondering which way she should go next. She hadn't been here, not recently really, but at least she knew she had gotten pretty far away from her old life. It wasn't far enough though, it would be easy for someone to simply drive to her location if they had enough information to where she was. When he asked her if she was a runaway, she looked back at him, wondering how on earth he knew. Also? That meant he was too? What a weird coincidence, but it was a little comforting to know she wasn't alone. She nodded a little, and said,"Yes." Before she could ask him more, another girl was standing behind him, waiting for his attention.

She stood up now, feeling a little awkward being there. It was obvious that they knew each other, but it seemed that they weren't the best of friends. Maybe not even the best of acquaintances. She didn't really want to get involved with their harsh tones. She looked down, seeing that he had a dog. She bit her lip, remembering the dog that she had left behind, the one who stared at her with his puppy dog eyes begging her not to leave. It made a swirl of feelings swell up inside of her. She missed him most of all, she had always loved dogs. She knelt down next to the dog as the boy and his friend continued their conversation, and gently petted him, feeling a small smile spread across her face. She wondered if she should just leave, she felt like she was intruding on an important conversation.

She stood put now, and walked back over to the bench where her bag was. Taking her cell phone back out, she turn it off, and threw it into the small bag. She rummaged through it to make sure everything there was there. What else could she really loose though? She was starting all over. Everything seemed to be there, her money, clothing, all the necessary things. She threw the bag back over her shoulder and looked at the boy again. She wondered if she would be seeing him again, she knew it wouldn't be that bad if she did. She could always look for someone to keep her company for a little while, and she really did like his dog. She tapped him lightly on the shoulder and smiled a little. Taking a deep breath she said,"I'm gonna get going, it was really nice meeting you." She looked back at the girl, nodding a goodbye. She probably just made it even more awkward. She put her hands in her sweatshirt pocket and started walking back in the direction of the road. She didn't walk to quickly, she was tired and wanted to take in her surroundings. She would need to remember this area for when she ever decided to look back on her experiences, if she even lived that long.
