Glancing up, he forced smile on his face as people entered the Nike store. "Hey." He nodded to David. He glanced at him as he dribbled basketball for a few moments, then his eyes slid over to a girl that came in. She seemed nervous. He sighed, glancing back over at the table where the girl sat. Why couldn't she come in here instead? He could be scoring her number right now, making friends. For all he knew, she could be his future wife! He scowled slightly at the thought, then diminshed the unpleasant thoughts, trying to look happy and helpful, approachable. That's how his boss said to look. Makes people ask questions, get interested. Smiling at the girl, he leaned across the counter. "Can I help you with anything?" he asked helpfully, giving her a questioning look. She wasn't nearly as pretty as the girl sitting at the table, but he couldn't help but to notice she was slightly attractive. Man, his break-up with Jessica had left him desperate.
