Mason sat on his board, desperately trying to keep his balance. He had never surfed before, and was afraid. Seeing a wave, he shakily stood up. The wave carried him a ffew feet, then he fell. Sputtering water out of him mouth, he grabbed his board again and got back on.

Piper gasped and let out a squeak as she landed in the cold water. She scrambled out of the water and walked over to Ryan, dripping wet. She opened her arms, trying to give him a hug. She laughed some more.

Claire sat at her post. She watched Mason for a couple of moments. 'What is he doing?' She thought before going back to her work.

"Whoa!" Ryan said trying to dogde Piper's hugs. He laughed.

Piper finally gave up trying to get him wet. She sat down on a rock, and took a deep breath to stop herself from laughing so hard so she could speak. She looked up at him. "I'll get you later," she promised.

Mason could see Claire at the lifeguard tower. Waving his arms, he shouted her name. As another wave came, Mason stood up- waiting to fall again. The wave took him farther than last time, and he didn't even wobble. riding the wave he let his left hand drift out to the side and feel the surging water. "Woo-Hoo!" He yelled, his voice drowned out by the wave.

Ryan sat down next to Piper. "Wanna hug now?"

Claire couldn't really watch Mason. She was busy doing her work.

Piper smiled and gave Ryan a hug.

As the wave ended, the sand tripped Mason and he fell off of his board. Laughing, he stumbled to get his board. Putting it back in the trunk of his car, he drank some of his smoothie, then noticing Claire's. Grabbing it, he stood at the bottom of the stairs, next to Bandit. "Caire, I've got your smoothie!" Mason called to her.

"Aww, thanks Mason." Claire said takeing the smoothie. Bandit growled at Mason. "I'd go if I were you Mason, Bandit doesn't like it when people aer too close to his spot." Claire said.

Ryan smiled. "Now I'm as wet as you are Piper!"

Piper grinned warmly. "Uh-uh! I'm still dripping wet because someone thought it would be funny to throw me in the ocean!" She laughed and looked up at him, her eyes glowing.
