After a while of blowing he began to get drowzy the kazoo fell out of his hand as his body went limp

Saphira looked up at the sky before falling back into the grass stareing at the sky as the puppy curled up on her belly she looked at it with a soft smile.

He woke up to the sounds of dogs barking. The moon shone directly on him. His hair seemed to glow, and as he looked down the tree, he saw his father holding their dogs Gin and Rusty. They were the meaniest dogs you'll ever meet. For some reason they'd taken a liking to their father and they'd attack anything even Joshua. "Go get that boy!" His fther shouted and let the dogs go. They immediately hopped onto the tree their jaws mashing together. Josh jumped down snatching up his kazoo and sprinting out of their yard. The dog chased after him. Him vicous and killer barks echoed behind him. Close. Closer. He thought he could feel the creatures breath on his arm

Saphira lifted her head to the sound of barking nearby she looked around and sat up the puppy on her lap started barking agrily as they had interupted her nap.

Joshua kept running. His satchel fell and froze. The dog neared. He ran back and picked it up. Suddently his ears rung and his arm stung. Next thing he knew he was on the was on the ground holding his ears. He looked up his father was holding a metal pole and the dog latched onto his arm. He stood up and crawled finally able to regain strength but his ear was unable to hear. He kapt running the dog right behind him. He climbed up a nearby tree and latched on for dear life. That's what he was fighting for. If the dog cought him, that would be the end. The creature hurridly clawed the bark and made it up and he began to climb.

Saphira stood up curiously the barking was loud, she calmed the pup down and looked around she picked up a bambo stick and cautiously followed the barking until noticeing Joshua in a tree and dogs surrounding it she looked onto her belt remembering her dagger and stayed in the bushes and threw it up into the tree in the case, it hung in the branch above his head.

Joshua made a frantic grab for the dagger and took it out of the case he slashed out at the dog and caught it across the nose. It's yelped filled the air and it's brother ran after Josh. He hopped out of the tree and slashed again. The dog yelped but he didn't get a chance to see where he hit it since he took off running. The curses and screams of his father called after him. After a while his footsteps faded and he leaned against another tree.

Saphira stayed where she was listening not watching when all seemed quiet she looked up and around before she got up and grabed the case for her dagger out of the tree she followed Joshua's footsteps cautiously.
