Leo kisses her, "So we just need to find 3 more dogs or puppies" he says.

Matt picks Sara up and runs to where the races are held. He stops at a cabin, he opens the door and carries Sara inside. He sets her down "Here we are" he says. He shuts the cabin door and looks around, "Man does it need to be cleaned" he says.

Max ties ropes to all 6 of the dogs. He ties weights to the other end "Go!" he says blowing a whistle.

Rusty, Shasta, Diamond, Bone, Ethan&Beethoven run towards the woods, they circle around tree and jump over obstacles. They circle around and come back to Max.

Max locks at his stopwatch "8 minutes" he says and writes it down in a notebook. He takes them to the front of the house, he hooks them up "Mush" he says. They pull the sled forward, he sees the market place "Slow" he says pulling on the brakes. He ties them up and runs into the butcher shop. "Mark do you have any leftovers this week?" he asks, "Course I do Max, the leftovers are in the back of the shop" Mark says. Max goes to the back of the butcher shop, he takes the bag of leftover meat and leaves the shop. He puts the meat on the sled. He goes back to the butcher shop and sees the help wanted sign. "Mark...can I have that job?" he asks "I can sweep help cut the meat" he adds. Mark looks at Max then his dogs, "Okay. But only because you need food for your dogs and you need to build up your team" Mark says. "When can I start?" Max asks, "Now if you would like" Mark answers "The sausage needs to be sliced up" he adds. Max nods, he takes a sausage stick out and begins cutting it up.

Max puts the slices on a tray and sets them on the counter. A man came up "I would like 2pounds of Sausage" he says. Max takes 2pounds of sausage, "That will be $10 sir" he says. The man hands him the money and takes the sausage. "Keep 1/2 of that" Mark says, Max puts 5 dollars in his pocket and puts 5 in the cash register.

Max watches as the sun sinks, Mark had left 30 minutes ago, he sweeps the floors then mops them. He puts the food from today in a bag. He takes the bag out to the sled and puts it next to the other bag of food.

Max locks up the store, he gets on the sled and the dogs run home. He unhooks the dogs, he pulls the sled into the shed and puts the dogs in the shed also. He shuts the door and latches it. He runs inside, he collapses on his bed and falls asleep right as the moon comes up.

Sasha "Twilight, Dusty have you found anything?" she calls pulling out a chicken leg from her trash can. Twilight, Dusty poke their heads out of the trash can there in, "Pizza!" they bark. "What about you Hatchiko?" Sasha calls, Hatchiko back out of his trash can and turns to Sasha holding a hot-dog. Hatchiko carries the hot-dog over to a box and dumps it inside. Twilight and Dusty take what they found to the box Hatchiko was at and dumped, a pizza and 4 pieces of chicken tender in it. Sasha dumps a raw steak in the box before picking it up, "Lets go" she barks and runs down the alley. Twilight, Dusty, and Hatchiko follow. Twilight, Sasha, Dusty, Hatchiko race down the street, they stop at an abandon hotel. They squeeze through a hole in a door and run towards the kitchen of the hotel.

Max wakes up, he looks at the time "4:30am" he mutters and jumps up. He gets his clothes on, he runs outside and over to the shed. He opens it up and lets his 6 dogs out, he pulls his sled out, he grabs weights and small ropes. He ties a rope around each dog and puts a weight on the other end. "Go!" he says, he starts his stopwatch and they shoot off into the woods, Ethan in the lead.

Sasha wakes up, she glances over at the three puppies before getting up and leaving the abandon hotel.

Nathan flipped his tattered hood on and pulled his hands under the the long sleeves of the coat. The slight jingle of coins sounded in his pocket. He stared at the snow and then looked over his shoulder at his tracks. His hands curled into tight fists then let go as he tried to keep them warm. Nathan squinted as he tried to stare farther ahead.
