She truly has a heart of gold and would do anything for her loved ones. Though, at times she closes up a bit because of past relationships. She's never had a guy treat her right, but still is a hopeless romantic. She knows her prince charming is out there somewhere...

History: Brooke comes from a middle- class family. She has a 19 year old brother named Kyle who is very protective over her. Her parents have been together for a while, but they fight constantly. She's sick of all the fighting and sometimes wishes they would just get a divorce. She never was spoiled, so she has good manners and is very respectful. A few months ago she had a bad break-up with a boyfriend so she's trying to get over him. She doesn't understand why some guys are the way they are.

the one and only

Essence was having mixed feelings about this whole camping thing. It sounded pretty fun. A retreat from home, out in the wild, and hot boys. If she did want to go home, it was too late now, because they were already on the bus, nearly to the camp after a long two hour drive. Her suitcase was above her, packed to the maximum with everything she'll need. Clothes, make-up, etc. She forgot already some things she may have put in there. Essence shrugged, putting her feet on the seat next to hers. She popped a piece of gum into her mouth, leaning back and watching the scenery pass by until she saw a large, old sign that said 'WELCOME TO CAMP RIVERBOLD' in fancy letters. She ran a hand through her hair, excitement running through her. She was going to make the most of this trip, for sure. Even with the dorks and nerds and the kids she hated from school coming, it was going to be the best summer vacation away from home she's ever had.

Essence lifted her suitcase up and made her way towards the front, her lips pursed as the kid in front of her seemed to move as slow as ever. Finally, he got off, and Essence followed, glancing around the camp. Apparently, she was in Cabin 5A with four other girls. As soon as she spotted the bland row of cabins, (boys on the left side of the trail, girls on the right), she headed toward it. It was probably a bad choice for the founders to align the cabins with the opposite genders right across, but essence wasn't complaining. It was easier this way, anyway. She pushed the door to her cabin open and wrinkled her nose. There were three bunk beds lined against the walls, so six beds total. there were also drawers and a bathroom, which was nicer than some camps. She instantly claimed a top bunk, just so she wouldn't have to listen to someone rolling above her all night.

Basic description:
Shay stands at roughly 6'1'' with longish dark brown hair, and very dark brown eyes. He has a lean build, with a roundish face, and smallish features. His skin is a nice coppery-brown color, and he usually has a relaxed posture, but a wild sporadic air about him. Shay has his own sense of style. He wears anything that catches his attention and he has a thing for plaid. He is usually seen wearing black skinny jeans with a silver studded belt, and either a band t-shirt or a plaid shirt tossed over top of a plain t-shirt and left unbuttoned. For shoes he usually wears skateboarding shoes and he is pretty well never seen without his blue Volcom hat. His style is almost a mash-up of grunge, emo, and skater.

Personality: (I'm working on writing out a new one for him, this is my old one.)
Shay is outgoing, and bold, but in spazztastic, more childish way. He isn't afraid to speak his opinion he is actually quite similar to his friend Michael in the calm, chill, zen outlook on everything. Though he is a more optomistic person than Michael is, and he is much more of a joker. Shay takes very few things seriously, but once he picks up a guitar he's all buisness and will rarely joke around. Shay is also a peacemaker, though he is also a great morale booster.
Shay is the type of person who will try to ensure other people are happy before himself, though it sometimes causes him to suffer greatly as most people are greedy and take advantage of this side of him. He never gets mad, and he will never ask for anything in return due to his kind nature, he is quite respectful of others, though police and lawmen are hte exceptions to this unsaid rule of his. Police tip him over the edge, and he'll go out of his way to piss them off, and he's not afraid to take a swing at them either even if it does end up with him getting arrested.
Shay sometimes walks a thin border between anger and love. He can and will sometimes just lose focus and lash out at the people he loves the most, though he tries to hold it back. This is due to his lack of shown emotion. Shay doesn't like to express his emotions openly, even though he is kind to people he doesn't trust them enough to open up and show emotions so instead he bottles them up and expresses them through his music, and sometimes writing. He, also like Michael, has a way with words and can captivate people with the way he speak, often using hand gestures and an rather interesting voice.
Despite his lack of emotions Shay is quite the social butterfly. He bounces from group to group to group and spreads love everywhere. When most people see him he's happy. Actually, when anyone sees him he is happy. He never bottles up positive emotions, but only negative emotions like anger, pain, and misery. He is generally a fun-loving guy who just loves to do crazy stuff, break the rules, and get into trouble.
All in all, Shay is a person you'd want to know, but may have to be careful around.

History:
Shay lived a pretty average life, he lived in Calgary, Alberta with his mother and his father and spent most of his childhood carefree. His parents both had good paying jobs and they tended to spoil a seven year old Shay. That all ended on March 12th, 1999 when Shay's mother was killed in a car accident. Being only seven at the time Shay wasn't fully aware of what was going on, but he did eventually start to notice his world crumbling around him. His father was devastated at the loss of his wife, and he had trouble trying to managed his busy job and Shay. He tried to keep Shay his top priority, but his work kept getting in the way. Eventually he was fired from his job and had to find a new one.
By fourteen Shay was a trouble maker. The cops were constantly bringing him home, and he was constantly getting into arguments with his father. His father was sick, and getting sicker, but Shay didn't care anymore. His father had been his rolemodel, his hero even. But after a while he just stopped paying attention to Shay entirely and focused more and more on work, Shay started to do anything he could to get his father's attention.
When he was sixteen Shay moved out. He couldn't stand living at home anymore, his father's health had deteriorated and there were always, always people crowding the house and pushing Shay out of the way. He went to live at his best friend Michael's house for a while, and eventually they both moved here.
Not mentioned above, but when Shay was fifteen he, Michael, and his two other friends Raymond and Jayson got into a car accident after a party. They were all more than a little drunk, Raymond who was driving was the most sober, but the car was t-boned while they were crossing a highway. Shay and Michael -who were on the passenger side both lived. Raymond was killed instantly through a broken spinal cord. Jayson died as well. When the ambulance arrived on the scene Michael was dead too. He'd died minutes before the ambulance roared up and he was revived, even more pathetically Shay died while they were reviving Michael. They revived him as well, but he had to get multiple blood tansfusions. The driver of the truck that t-boned them lived with a minor concussion, and a few scars.
(Really pathetic history, I just have a thing for ressurection. XD )
