"The trainers are here." Tori said when Jc entered. "There are some beginners races here this weekend, and you all are eligible for them. There is one every 3 hours up until 12 am for each day of the weekend, so you can only enter every other one." She smiled. "The first race is at 12 PM on Saturday and Sunday, the next at 3 PM, but tomorrow the first one will start at 3 and you may be excused from class, another at 6, then 9, then the last at 12. So basically you can enter 2 tomorrow, and I believe 3 on Saturday and Sunday. The track isn't even a mile long and it's half track races, but I'd be careful of entering races too frequently, but it should be fine as long as the length doesn't exceed a mile so half a track is rather short.. Sorry if I confused you, need me to repeat something? Also, at 3 tomorrow it's actually a one time full track intermediate/advanced horse race to kick off the event, so... sorry if I'm confusing you."

Once school was out, I hurried to the barn. The first race would begin soon, and I needed to get Bosco ready.

Jc wanted to find Tori to ask if they had to wear anything specific... She hoped to find her before they started the races...

(oops.. i forgot it was at 3. Pretend it's 3 right now lol so its only Ruffian and Secretariat for right now..)

Tori was in Gate 1 with Ruffian, and Ruffian was ready to run.

Secretariat had his own jockey and was in Gate 2, also ready to run.

Jc tacked up Storm and led him over to the track to watch Tori and Ruffian

Tori held her breath as the gate opened. Not all the horses here were LA horses, some from other states. Secretariat and Ruffian bursted from the gate, and Ruffian took the early lead, but Secretariat was behind by a nose. The other horses soon fell behind, there were no horses like the LA HA horses.. they were always competitive and mean, the best in the country.

Jc sat in the stands, on the second row... She was in Navy blue jockey clothes that matched Storm's blue tack... She was nervous for when they raced, but pushed it from her head as she cheered Tori and Ruffian on : )

I smiled and waved to Jc. I nervously smoothed down my orange clothes and took a seat next to Jc.
