{@Katniss Everdeen: Accepted c: }
{@*Nightmare*: I'd prefer you read the posts, but here's a recap all the same - Not much has happened yet. The town is still waking up. Emmett (saloon owner) has just opened up, there's not many customers. One of his saloon gals just took a client. Sam (rancher's daughter) enters and is denied a drink. An argument begins outside of the saloon. Emmett goes outside to see what's happening and Sam steals some of Emmett's whiskey. With the natives, not much is happening, the hunters just arrived. Kaya (chief's daughter) had a rather frightening experience (on her end) and almost ran into Zachary (rancher). Sam then comes across Kaya, isn't particularly friendly, and rides to her home. She then proceeds to tell her father she likes Emmett.}

{Not replying for Emmett yet since Jaytheunicorn hasn't posted, but here's Kaya and Chief White Hawk. c: }
Still shocked by the encounter, Kaya's thoughts lingered on the white man she'd almost run into. Had he asked if she was alright? Or did she imagine it? Shaking the thought from her head, Kaya heard the familiar sound of the Cheyenne language and knew she was almost to her camp. <Let's go, Hotohke.> Kaya urged the mare into a canter, both eager to arrive home. Not six feet later was Kaya's journey interrupted by another white.
Taken aback by the sudden appearance of another horse, Hotohke's ears pinned to her skull. The small horse uttered a disgruntled whinny and reached out to bite the other horse. Fortunately for the other horse, Kaya tugged sharply on the rope reins, correcting the feisty mare. <Be nice,> Kaya told the red roan mare before looking up at the white girl. "I am not in your way." She stated, watching as the girl moved around her and cantered away. Once the girl had disappeared from view, horse and rider made their way back to the camp. Chief White Hawk greeted them with a grave expression.
<My daughter, finally you return to me.> The chief gave Kaya a grim smile and watched as his daughter slid off Hotohke's back. <But you return at a most troubling hour. One of our warriors has been killed.>
A rush of anger filled the young woman's heart. <Who killed him? Was it one of them?> She almost snarled, but bit back some of her emotions out of respect for her father. <Was it a white man?> The chief's silence said enough. <I will ride into town and confro->
<You must not.> Chief White Hawk interrupted, holding his hand up for silence. <The white men have made it very clear if we leave the reservation, we will be shot. And I could not bear to have my daughter murdered.>
Kaya stared at the ground. Her father was the chief and he knew what was best for the tribe. But she couldn't sit and do nothing. Kaya grabbed a handful of Hotohke's mane and swung onto the mare's back. <I'm sorry, father.> She whispered, not meeting his eyes. She was grateful when he didn't try to talk her out of her decision. Seconds later, Kaya and Hotohke were galloping towards the town.
