{Sure. c: Also, Secrecy, as a reminder, my character Kaya is an apprentice to the Medicine woman.}
The sun loomed over the earth, resting in its noontime position. The clouds stretch themselves throughout the sky, periodically shadowing the ground beneath them whenever the clouds' arms would reach in front of the sun. And completing the day's ideal conditions was the ever-blowing breeze which carried the cool air of autumn to the town of Alpine Creek.
In the town of Alpine Creek, there dwelled some of the most interesting people one could ever hope to come across. One of these interesting people was a man named Emmett Thorton. He was the local saloon owner, and though the alcohol he sold was appreciated by the townspeople, Mr. Thorton himself wasn't thought of particularly fondly. He was a rather cold, standoffish person and didn't much associate with people he didn't know. While he was never out and out rude to people he'd just met, his brusque exterior managed to push just about everyone in his personal life away.
And, just as Emmett's personal life had been fairly stagnant, so had the business at his saloon. With the threat of the attack from the natives, people had begun to leave. Only a few loyal customers remained. "Can I get you a drink?" Emmett inquired after one of his guests in the most polite tone he could manage.
"Nah, but I'd like a crack at one of yer saloon gals if ya got any," The rather scruffy looking man grinned cheekily, handing Emmett the money for one of the gals. "Come on, darlin'. I'll show you what a real man is like." He crooned, leading the giggling woman away into the back bedroom. Emmett watched the two go with a sigh. Disgusting, He thought to himself and went to attending another customer.

About twenty miles north-west of Alpine Creek lay a reservation designated for the natives. On the reservation, life was a bit more exciting than the sleepy town of Alpine Creek. Hunters had just returned from their morning hunt. "The spirits have blessed you, brothers." Chief White Hawk greeted his hunters with a warm smile. "We will have a great feast tonight." He nodded at the women behind him, who had already begun to carry away the buffalo meat in order to prepare it.
"Ah, Black Moon," The chief stopped one of the hunters as they began to disperse. "Have you seen my daughter?" He inquired in Cheyenne. The hunter merely shook his head with a sigh. The chief nodded in understanding and motioned for the hunter to continue in his path.

Kaya sat proudly on her horse, Hotohke. It wasn't everyday the young woman could escape from the burden of tribal life and she was glad to be able to merely look out over the plains she called home. And while the plains were her home, the mountain on which Kaya and Hotohke were standing had become her sanctuary. She went there whenever she felt herself being torn away from her connection to the spirits. Being on the mountain top reminded her of the power of the Creator.
Inhaling sharply, Kaya's mind drifted to the white men. They were always taking and never giving. Though some white men were decent, most were afraid of the natives. Kaya huffed indignantly. Cowards. We are not afraid of them, why should they fear us? Sighing, Kaya picked up the Hotohke's reins. "Lets go back home," She turned the mare, urging her into a trot, then a canter. I hope Yellow Eyes won't be too upset. Kaya thought to herself, cringing at the thought of her mentor angry.
