Plot
In the west, a small town called Alpine Creek is ravaged by unspoken conflict -- white men and natives refuse to work together to solve their differences. Each race is blinded by hatred and distrust. Misunderstanding is the basis of their relationship as neither side is willing to accept the cultural and spiritual differences of each other. Can these two great peoples learn to trust each other before war becomes the only option they see? Are you for the white man or for the indian? Or are you for truth?
The Two Peoples
White Man
Often seen as arrogant and conceited, the white man is merely afraid of what he does not know. White men will often jump to conclusions before reasoning and try for violence, but there are some white men who do wish to talk. It is they who help keep the peace and shall try to help the white man see the light.
Women tend to be less important than men. Their opinion or their word doesn't hold much weight when compared to a man's.
Occupations:
- Saloon owner (man only)
- Saloon gal (women only)
- Barber (man only)
- Doctor (man or woman)
- Nurse (women preferable)
- Editor/news writer (man or woman)
- Boarding house owner (man or woman)
- Telegraph Operator (man only)
- Reverend (man only)
- Farmer (women and men)
- Rancher (women and men)
Natives
Generally thought of as savages, "Indians" are often looked down upon by white men. Because of this, natives have allowed bitterness to enter their hearts. They are more willing to reason, but only because of their peaceful chief. If the chief passes before the two great nations can resolve their conflict, then there are few left to defend his legacy.
In general, men dominate the society, but women are important as well. They have women as members of their counsel as well as men.
Occupations: (can overlap. Depending on their normal "job", they can have more than one occupation.)
- Chief (taken by Chai Tea)
- Counsel member (men and women)
- Hunter (men only)
- Forager (women and children)
- Shaman (man or woman)
- Medicine man/woman (man or woman)
- Food preparer (usually women)
- Warrior (only men)
Both sides are becoming restless and eager for war. Will you help keep the peace, or will you push both to the precipice of disaster?

Rules:
1. All of Tess's rules apply.
2. Be respectful of your fellow RPers.
3. While having true Native American names would be ideal, for the sake of the RP and having to type out names all the time, you can use psuedo-Native American names. (Such as Dakota, Kachina, etc.) For a list of real Cheyenne names, click here: Cheyenne names.
4. Do you like pie? Why? (Answer this in the "other" section of your form.)
5. This is a semi-literate to literate level RP. I expect good grammar. No chatspeak in a post. Be descriptive.
6. At least 450+ words per post.
7. Up to three characters. At least one of them must be male.
8. Please make a character who isn't fond of Native Americans. I know everyone favors the natives, but an RP needs villains.
9. I reserve the right to make alterations to the rules. (I'll tell you, of course.)
10. Remember: women aren't well-respected around this time (in white man communities), but that doesn't mean they can't stand up for themselves.
11. Characters can be as young or as old as you like, but keep in mind, this is an RP and you're only allowed three "major" characters. There can be as many side characters as you like.
12. Your character may have a pet, provided that it's reasonable. (For example: Horses, dogs, cats, etc.) Please no crazy cat ladies. Please.
13. Just have fun. :)
Character Skeleton
(Every section must be filled in. History is optional. While knowing the history of the character is important, it doesn't particularly pertain to this RP.)
