(Might as well jump in even though I don't quite known what's going on.)
Kate:
The daughter of Hermes sat in her cabin, reading the book History of Mankind like an average Athena kid that she wasn't. She concentrated deeply on the book, not allowing anyone to get in her way of her favourite past time at all. She read the words intently, despite the fact that she was dyslexic and the text was in English, and she was pretty slow on flipping the pages of the six hundred page book. It didn't bother her, though, as she was still pretty intelligent compared to most people that she meets on the streets.
With a sigh, Kate forced herself to shut the book and lay it on her bed. Enough reading for now unless I want to wake up with a really nasty headache tomorrow morning, she thought while standing up from the bed, which creaked under the force of her hands. She didn't really care that she wore pants that were slightly to big for her; she liked the fact that it hid her skinniness to those who worried about her. With another trudging sigh, and knowing that no one would pay attention to her, she headed out into the camp.
It wasn't like she didn't enjoy socializing; her severe trust issues just didn't allow her to socialize with people that easily. It doesn't matter, anyway, she told herself while continuing to walk around the camp. It's not like people like me or anything. She didn't like people and people didn't like her; that's all that she thought of when it came to socializing. Sadly, it was rather true for the most part since she had a tendency to speak her mind and be aggressive about it when she didn't like something, which caused people to back away from her most times. On top of that, people commonly mistook her for being autistic or being schizophrenic due to her quiet nature.
With that thought having eased into her mind again, Kate sat down at the base of a tree and ran a hand through her hair. This life at Camp Half-blood is going to be a rat's hole, she thought. Letting a small moan of annoyance to herself, she rested her head on the tree base and closed her eyes, letting her mind drift away.
