"Wha - What do you mean? I mean, you're right of course, but... Well... No. No. You're right. I should leave." Reed said nervously, avoiding Blaine's eyes and shuffling his feet. "This is all my fault." he sighed, "At least now I have a reason to leave." he looked through the doorway at Shane's dead eyes, and it strengthened his resolve. He couldn't cause Shane any more pain. He would have to leave to keep him safe.

Blaine looked in the room at Shane, and took a deep breath. "I'm not telling you to leave Dalton, because I can't make you do that. But I'm telling you to break up with him, and stay away from him." He whipped out menacingly, giving Reed a glare that could melt glass.

"I can't break up with him, Blaine! You didn't help him at all while I was gone!" Reed said in an angry whisper, then gestured to Shane, "You obviously didn't try to make him eat or stop him from hurting himself! I don't want him to lapse back into that pattern. I want to help him, or I at least need you to promise to watch him more carefully. I love your brother, and I want the best for him, but I don't want to break his heart any more than I've already done."

Blaine stared at Shane for a long moment and whipped his head back to face Reed. "Do you know how much I tried? He would run and lock his room, all he would do was cry! All day, all night! No matter what we would do, he was still heartbroken!" He hissed, pointing an accusing finger at Reed, "And it was all because of you. So if I let you get any closer to him, if you ever leave him again I don't even want to think about what will happen." He scowled at Reed, narrowing his eyes and voice growing more and more acidic with each word. "You have to let him go, Reed. If you love him truly, like you say, then you'll let him go."
