Her eyes widened a bit with curiosity, wondering what he meant by the statement, but didn't question it. She wasn't one to push people on their past, since her own was so hard. She was surprised she had even spoken about her mom after what had happened. But, it had just come out. There was something about Dalton, something that seemed trustworthy. She turned her inquiring gaze back on him, hoping he would explain further about the statement about his mom, but when he didn't, she took in a breath. "Yea, my dad was the same way, just in a bit more of an extreme way..." She, too, didn't explain any further, just opened her palm, looking down at a long, jagged scar on her skin, which had once been a bloody gash, but was now a pale white line forvere reminding her of her past. She closed it back into a fist.
