I chuckled and shrugged. Over the weeks, my shaggy brown hair had grown a bit, coming down past the tops if my ears about half an inch. I knew I needed a haircut, but who thought about hair in the middle of all this? It was like a freaking action movie, only in real life!

Nick looked up at the breathtaking full moon and the beautiful night sky around it, dripping with bright, twinkling stars. he sighed quietly and looked down at the peaceful Rusty fast asleep in his lap.

Just wanting to say something- anything- I asked, "So, uh, how do you know Zoey?" I gestured towards the sleeping blonde, who was peaceful in Alex's lap. A faint smile played on her lips as she dreamed.
