'Sure, sure' Mel said... 'Im bored....' she said after about 5 seconds of silence...

Kyle looked at her, admiring her silently. He looked away again, wishing he could have the guts to tell her later.

Mel knew he kept looking at her... she layed her head against the window and cloud watched... 'Wanna just go back to the ranch and wait for them... i dont like hospitals much... they stink and theyre boring' she said

Kyle glanced at her again. "If you want" she said. He personally didn't like hosptitals much either. It usually gave him the feeling of sadness, and he didn't want to feel sad right now. He stopped the truck and pulled out his cell phone.

Mel waited for him in the truck : )

Kyle dialed Ashlee's phone number and cussed under his breath when she didn't pick up. He didn't have anybody else's phone number, so he got back in the truck. He started the ignition and turned it around so he was driving back towards the ranch.

(Ashlee left her phone in her cabin)

Kyle raised an eybrow. He knew she was right, so he turned the radio on and tried to put his mind at ease.

Mel propped her feet on the dash and smiled at him... 'Are we there yet?' she wined/teased

Kyle sighed. "Not yet" he said, looking ahead of him. They still had another 30 minutes or so.
