I rolled my eyes. "Whatever you say." I said, shaking my head at Jay's somehow cocky personality. I looked at Jay again. Seriously, I never thought about liking Jay. He's a good friend, but the other way around? We were were basiclly opposites in our personality.

{Hey guys. Sorry I'm taking so long to reply. School has started and I kinda didn't use the computer for the first week whilst I got the hand of it (new school) and the school day is like 6-8 hours and I can only get on for half-an-hour before I do my homework and then again after. As well as that I've been trying to catch up with my writing. Really sorry!}

Eve smiled lightly, running one hand through her dark waves of hair like a comb, untangling the wet masses. "I mean," she sighed, shrugging slightly. "Yea, I guess I've got a little crush." Eve felt herself blushing even though she had fervently told herself not to. "But," she added hastilly, defensive, for some reason, "I hardly know him, you know?" She smiled again, her violet eyes glistening in the light and the ocean. "What about you, hm? You and Luke?"

Kat grinned and clapped her hands once. "Brilliant!" When Eve returned the question, Kat looked out to the boys and at Luke particulary before, sliding down and landing with a splash next to Eve. "Well we're both flirting but I don't know..." She looked at Eve "I take relationships slowly. I'm looking for a long one now and I don't want another one to go down the drain like last time." She bit the inside of her cheek so no tears formed in her eyes even though she hated the boy, he had tricked her. And had just been using her. She shrugged and then smiled. "Maybe thw two most sensible people in the world who are gonna start a civilisation together on some random island could choose." She teased and then dived under the water, pushed off the rock and swam all the way back to the boys, surfacing and smiling sweetly. She noticed Xavier's scars again and looked at them quickly before turning her gaze out to sea hoping he hadn't noticed. As he looked for anything breaking the line she thought about her own scars and her own childhood and wondered if hers was anything like Xaviers.

Eve smiled, rolling her eyes, her cheeks aflame, and dived in after Kat. She swam gracefully back to the crowd, coming up and swiping one hand through her dripping hair as she sat in the cool water. She bit her lip, and remembered Xavier's comment to her, about Luke, and waded towards him. She still didn't like him, but she supposed she could try harder. "So," she smiled, her expression only slightly pained, "Whats up?"

"My three favorite words," Jay smiled, trotting after her, his tan skin drying quickly in the sun, even without a towel. "Can I have them in writing, please?" He joked, rubbing one hand in his hair to un-plaster it from his head. Then, after a moment of pause, his eyes drifting towards Ryan again, though this time thoughtful, not joking or flirty, he sighed. You could tell he was about to say something, by the way he opened his mouth and took a breath, but stopped himself short of it, and exhaled with a shake of his head.

I snickered slightly and turned to Jay. His face looked thoughtful as if he were thinking of something that made him wonder. He was also staring at me as he wondered and it was pretty creepy. Jay's face looked serene. It looked like there was no trace of his happy, humorous attitude. I was going to expect words coming out of Jay's mouth, but nothing came out.

Jay shook his head, his eyes darting towards the water. "Never mind. I was going to say something--but it was stupid." He mumbled, a smile sliding over his features at the end of the statement, though it didn't quite reach his eyes. He thought about his issue. Why was he here? Why was he at the beach, talking to this girl, who didn't even like him? No one really liked him. Sure, his buddies did, but only because he was funny...not because of anything else. He wasn't deep, or serious, like Ryan was. He wondered what she thought; weather she wished he wasn't always such a complete weirdo.

Lucas almost jumped out of his skin when Eve randomly appeared beside him. 'Is she actually talking to me?' He thought incredulously and noted that she looked a bit stiff. His teal eyes flicked over to Xavier for a second, but his friend just nodded. 'What the heck?' "Uh, I'm great," He said, hesitating a bit at first in case she wanted to punch him, but soon, he eased up and offered her a polite grin. "Yeah, I'm really enjoying my time here so far. How about you?" He asked, wading comfortably in the water.

Xavier watched as Kat swam towards them followed by a red-faced Eve. He tilted his head curiously wondering what they were chatting about by the rock. He watched as Eve swam towards Luke and attempted to start up conversation. He smiled warmly, glad that she was trying to talk to him, and he sighed contentedly, his deep blue eyes landing on Katiana. He blinked in surprise as she quickly averted his gaze, and Xavier guessed that she must've been looking at his scars. Was she curious about them? "Do they look scary, Kat?" He murmured to her before chuckling. "My scars, I mean."
