Lily Grace ~
After the Show Jumping course finished Cortes seemed pretty tired and held his head low, mouth opened as Lily walked him towards the exit, worry in her eyes both for her horse and if she was going to win. If not, then she would loose - her parents' happiness, her horses and the house. This, Kentucky, was their only chance. Lily then dismounted her horse, led him to the stables and groomed him down. "Shhh, easy boy. I know you're tired. Take your rest and eat some before the Cross Country begins," she whispered to him. Cortes held his mouth open even after the bridle was removed and snorted, nibbling on some hay. Lily narrowed her brows and thought - she had read in the internet that the bit is painful for a horse's mouth. She went to the Tack Room and, for her surprise, found an "LG" Bitless Bridle which she qucikly took and went back in the stall. Cortes drank some water and picked his ears at the sound of the loudspeaker which announced for the riders to get prepared for the course. Lily slided on the english saddle and saddle pad, feet protectors and slipped on the bitless bridle. Cortes opened his mouth by habit, but when he felt that no bit entered his mouth, he was quite surprised and looked at his rider with big brown eyes. Lily rolled her eyes and just put on a protection jacket, the gloves and helmet and led the black friesian out the stables before mounting him. Cortes felt relieved that there wasn't a bit in his mouth. Wonder what the judges would say?
