It's 1964 and you've just received a letter in the mail. You've been drafted into the Vietnam War. With a grimace, you inform your family, pack up what little you can take and head off to boot camp for training.
Weeks later, stronger, trained, but still not ready, you touch down at Da Nang airbase. The heat hits you first, a rush of hot air and humidity engulfing you in a damp sweaty hug. Looking around, rows of green tents mark your new home for the next who even knows how long. Off duty soldiers mill about intermixed here and there with the occasional nurse bustling through the dusty camp. Following your squad members you go to report for duty.
Welcome to Vietnam.

While this rp is set in the Vietnam War, it's more geared to exploring the relationships between the different people at the Da Nang Airbase. Anticipate more of a M*A*S*H style comedy-drama with fun shenanigans and just interaction between the different characters.

[General] Please follow all CS rules, especially in regards to violence. Because this is set during a war there will be fighting but keep it within the boundaries of what is allowed. As for post length, a paragraph or two is preferable to allow everyone something to interact with. Actively posting a couple times a week would also be great. It's fine if life gets in the way that happens to everyone, just let us know.

[Reservations] There will be some limitation in the type of characters available but not the amount. If there's a certain role you want to reserve please sent me a CS pm or let me know on the discord server. I will be happy to save that spot for you.

[Characters] Feel free to make as many characters as you feel you are able to handle. All characters must be 18 or older and of age to participate in a war. Feel free to be inventive with their background and reason for being involved in the war. Were they drafted? Did they go to keep a sibling from having to? Have fun with it! All types of characters are welcome but please do be aware of the social stigmas during this period of history while still treating everyone with dignity.

[Forms] Post all forms to the discussion page please. I prefer pretty simple forms, you don't need to go crazy with coding unless you really enjoy it. Just the basics for information is fine. You can check out my own form for reference to get an idea of what sort of information to include. Realistic fcs only please. Again, please try to keep them appropriate for the period of history as much as possible. Kpop fcs won't work for this, sorry.

[Other] No serious knowledge of this time period is necessary, but if you are interested I am happy to help direct you to interesting articles and documentaries that talk about the Vietnam War. That being said, if it's within your capabilities as much period realism as possible would be appreciated. Most of all, just have fun creating drama and romance between characters.
