When They where 12 their father was killed in action. He took over the estate while his father was away and was given it after his father's death. He joined the army as an officer and rose quickly threw the ranks, partly thre skill and partially on money.

She secretly trained, behind the backs of there parents, on their estate and studied along side her brother. When thay where 12 their father was killed in action. After her Fathers death, her brother agreed to take over her father's room in geting her married. She moved into her father's quarters in Versailles when she turned 17 and her brother stays with her when he can.
